Yes, we might get together and become immature again otherwise.
Italy should be fun, nice and hot there right now. My parents are in France and Belgium. . . swapping between the two.
Have a good time in Italy Marz, don't fall in love with any hairy Italians! Especially the men!

Thanks, Sleepyhead, for coming to the defense of Italians. Marz will be lucky if she finds herself a good Italian guy. I've been married to mine for 28 glorious years! I'm sorry, Marz, I was doing my best, then LenMac called poor Jer a matriarch...just hours after we'd attracted a 13 yr old to our board, too! Imagine! And then the silly LenMac didn't understand why calling Jer a "mother" is just the same as swearing....I had to get offline before I relented and told him exactly what it means....which would have defeated the point of upbraiding to begin with....Ah, motherhood is not what it's supposed to be! Pat,
about the question about Irish people that probobly has no relevance now, I am Irish. I also have British and Polish blood in me. The greatest thing about being rooted in the UK is doing the accents. Not to offend anyone (have you ever tried an american accent in your time? http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif) Anyway, I can do Irish and British. I have actually been in two plays in which I had to do a British accent. Good times, good times. I have recently mastered New York and Arab accents as well. In respnse to the question that may be scrolling through your head right now, this IS what I do all day, and no, I don't really have a life. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

Wow, all that blood.
I bet you're british accent isn't very good. No offence, it's just they never are.
Take Dick Van Dyke, please!
No, his british accent in Mary Poppins was just, wrong.
And then you hear all these American beatles tribute bands, and on the whole they do okay, but every now and then, well, comedy enters the scene.
There are more examples to back this up!

Well, since we're talking about accents; here's a cute little story.
Many moons ago, back in the days of disco, my friends and I would get together at our favorite nightspot and dance and party the night away.
One night, on a dare, I spent the entire evening speaking in a Liverpudlian accent. The girl who was serving our drinks actually thought I was from England.
So we played along and didn't let on that I wasn't. She was so intrigued that before we left, she proposed to me. She said she wanted to marry me so that I could stay in the States.
We never told her the truth and to this day, she probably tells her friends and children about the night the Englishman got away. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
P.S. I have never even been to England but would love to some day. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/grin.gif

(Moonwalks) http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
Seriously though, I can actually do the moonwalk! That doesn't mean however that I have an unhealthy obsession for boys. That's where the similarities end.

Of course, all my little experts know that "Boys" was originally recorded by The Shirelles (a girl group) before Ringo did his version. I was always a little confused myself as to why that song was selected by the Beatles as a cover. Any information you historians provide will be appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I don't see why we're posting on it. Marz is well and truly back now. Despite Jerry's Lord Of The Flies efforts!

This started out in the wrong direction!
I survived Italy, I survived Maine, I survived The Lord of the Flies... as a matter of fact I was the Lord of the Flies.
If I were still moderator http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif I would close this topic for good!
