I'm borrowing this idea from the Beatles version posted in the other forum. :smile1:
What are the 10 most played songs on your iPod and how many times are each played?
Maybe we'll find some new favorites this way! :sun:

Mine is not a very varied list, I realize, but nevertheless, here it is:
10) Make Peace - Pat Metheny & Brad Mehldau
9) Chase Scene - Broken Social Scene
8) World Sick - Broken Social Scene
7) I Feel It All - Feist
6) 7/4 Shoreline - Broken Social Scene
5) Wouldn't It Be Nice - The Beach Boys (<-- Shocker! lol)
4) Guilty Cubicles - Broken Social Scene
3) I Slept With Bonhomme at the CBC - Broken Social Scene
2) I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas
1) Brothers on a Hotel Bed - Death Cab for Cutie
I explain the multiple BSS plays with the fact that I've been working on my novel lately and their music is very atmospheric (at least for what I'm trying to write.) *Sigh* I look boring now, don't I?

The Beach Boys snuck in there, huh? :teeth1:
How cool you're writing a novel! The BSS plays make sense for novel writing. Their music is very atmospheric. :smile1: I know what you mean about having favorite music for creative times. I always used to play the Grateful Dead when I was drawing!
I love I Gotta Feeling!

Ha ha, yeah... I've been "off" the Beatles for a little while, after going into serious overkill between 09/09/09 and Christmas... but somehow the Beach Boys are still tops. I love Broken Social Scene and all the offshoot bands they produced (Stars, Metric, Feist... :heart1:) When I'm writing, that's what gets my creative juices flowing! I've been working on my novel on and off for about a year and a half... in it's tenth edit at this point... *sigh*
This thread is awesome! I'm learning about so much new music!!! :teeth1: Thanks for starting it!

I haven't got an iPod, but I always carry my mp3 everywhere. In it, I've got a "Beatles" folder, a "Roy Orbison" folder (just selections of both), a "Living in the Material World" folder and a "Various" folder, for when I want a bit of variety, in which I take care to put ten songs not included in the other folders, and not two songs by the same singer/group. I change the songs in this folder now and then, but I think they must have been the same for almost two years now.
I suppose the ten songs in the "Various" folder are the most played ten songs in my mp3, since I listen to them every time I get fed up (not that I really get fed up) with the Beatles, Roy Orbison or "Living in the Material World". They're listed in the same order as in the mp3 (alphabetical order).
Anna (Go to Him) (Arthur Alexander)
Ara que tinc vint anys (Joan Manuel Serrat)
Baja de tu nube (Santabárbara)
Heartbeat (Buddy Holly)
It Don't Come Easy (Ringo Starr)
Just Like a Woman (Bob Dylan)
Lovin' Things (Marmalade)
Moody Blue (Elvis Presley)
NBC Mystery Movie Theme (Henry Mancini)
This Is Love (George Harrison)

:wave1: You're welcome! It's fun to know what people's favorites are. Sometimes I don't realize a song is my favorite until I notice on the iPod counter! :laugh5:
You gotta tell us when your book is out so we can all go buy it! :teeth1:

Lovin' Things (Marmalade)
What an adorable song! Haven't heard it before, I think?
Moody Blue (Elvis Presley)
I love this Elvis song and had forgotten entirely about it!
Anna (Go to Him) (Arthur Alexander)
Arthur Alexander... I like his version of Anna (Go to Him) better than John's version! Wikipedia lists him as soul/country. I really like his voice! He also covers Soldier of Love, another one the early Beatles did, too. I like his version of that better as well. Definitely gonna check him out some more! :smile1:
