Thanks for wanting to see my dog. He's a miniature poodle.I like all dogs, BB, and a poodle sounds lovely. I took care of one for a friend once and we had so much fun! We had hardwood floors and he loved to rush around the house and skid on the rugs. Full speed, hop on one rug, skid on it till it stopped or hit a corner, then skip onto the next rug to go another direction. They sure were scattered rugs when he was done!

"Well one day I was sitting at home threatening the kids, and I looked out of the hole in the wall and sees this tank drive up and one of Dinsdale's boys gets out and he comes up, all nice and friendly like, and says Dinsdale wants to have a talk with me. So he chains me to the back of the tank and takes me for a scrape round to Dinsdale's. And Dinsdale's there in the conversation pit with Doug and Charles Paisley, the baby crusher, and a couple of film producers and a man they called 'Kierkegaard', who just sat there biting the heads of whippets and Dinsdale sayd 'I hear you've been a naughty boy Clement' and he splits me nostrils open and saws me leg off and pulls me liver out, and I said my name's not Clement and then he loses his temper and nails my head to the floor."

That would be great! Unfortunately, I think there'd be a lot more people who needed it than who had extra to give! What else would be cool is if we could donate our own time to a bank, say, give up 2 hours on a rainy Sunday in February and take it back out on a sunny Saturday in June! :)

Louise was a name indelibly inscribed on the heart of Beatle George Harrison. Louise was the first person who was the most important person on earth to him. If not for her steadfast encouragement and support and hospitality to the other boys and later to the fans, we might not have our talented boy to this day.

Hi Relevart! :skip1: How's it going? I have been gone for quite some time.
I know what you mean, some of the straps on dresses out there are a complete joke, but even the thick straps are pointless when they're all criss crossed or low cut. The dress I got has thick straps that cross in the back so I can't wear anything comfortable under it, so even though it's a beautiful dress and it looks very nice, I feel uncomfortable the whole time I'm wearing it. *sigh*

Where were you when John Lennon was shot? And what was your reaction?
PETTY: His death hurt real bad, still hurts. Each time I see his picture or hear him sing, I immediately get pissed off that some fucking jerk could just blow him away. In fact, the only two people I have ever looked up to, idolized -- Lennon and Elvis -- are both dead. And I'm not someone into idols.
I was in the studio when Lennon died. My producer, Jimmy Iovine, had worked on a few of John's albums, and Ringo was recording just down the hall from me. The day before John died, we heard that he was planning to come out and so something with Ringo, and I thought, Great! He'll be right next door. When he got shot, Jimmy got a call with the news. We went on working for a while, then stopped. The spark was gone. It hurt for so long, it fucked me up. My mom died the same year. It was a black year.

I wish Get Fuzzy would be permanently retired. That gruesome loser Rob Wilco (he looks like ass and has even less brains than an ass) and his talking badass cat Bucky and dog Satchel are for the birds. Bottom of a birdcage, that is.
See, there's this stupid loser Rob and he lives with these talking pets. The cat is always trying to eat a monkey, make a monkey out of a potato sack and other harebrained schemes of that ilk. He's cruel and vicious and about as funny as a boil on the bottom of one's foot. Satchel is the only decent character and sadly, that damn cat runs roughshod over him.
It's popular where I used to work. I just don't think that damn strip has a damn single thing to recommend it. I think Rob Wilco belongs in toilet.

I thought it/my sister's dose was 2000mcg, I was with her when she bought it, I will have to check it again, I think my D level was ok, the M.D. never said anything.... I am wondering too, my sister had an eye exam this past Thurs; she was told she has small cataracts(nothing to worry about at present the eye doctor said), vision goes clear and blurry off and on, wonder if that is what is giving her headaches, plus the prescription for the glasses has changed, maybe when she gets the new glasses, the headaches will clear up????? By ALI AKBAR DAREINI, Associated Press Writer Ali Akbar Dareini, Associated Press Writer – 52 mins ago
UNITED NATIONS – Iran's hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100924/ap_on_re_us/un_un_world_summit_ahmadinejad#) provoked yet another controversy Thursday saying a majority of people in the United States and around the world believe the American government staged the Sept. 11 terror attacks in an attempt to assure Israel's survival (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100924/ap_on_re_us/un_un_world_summit_ahmadinejad#).
The provocative comments prompted the U.S. delegation to walk out of Ahmadinejad's U.N. speech, where he also blamed the U.S. as the power behind U.N. Security Council sanctions against Iran for its refusal to halt uranium enrichment, a technology that can be used as fuel for electricity generation or to build nuclear weapons.
Delegations from all 27 European Union nations (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100924/ap_on_re_us/un_un_world_summit_ahmadinejad#) followed the Americans out along with representatives from Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Costa Rica, an EU diplomat said.
Ahmadinejad said the U.S. has allocated $80 billion to upgrade its nuclear arsenal and is not a fair judge to sit as a veto-wielding permanent member (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100924/ap_on_re_us/un_un_world_summit_ahmadinejad#) of the Security Council to punish Iran for its nuclear activities. Iran denies it is seeking a nuclear weapon.
The Iranian leader — who has in the past cast doubt over the U.S. version of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks — also called for setting up an independent fact-finding U.N. team to probe the attacks. That, he said, would keep the terror assault from turning into what he has called a sacred issue like the Holocaust where "expressing opinion about it won't be banned".
Ahmadinejad did not explain the logic behind blaming the U.S. for the terror attacks but said there were three theories:
_That a "powerful and complex terrorist group" penetrated U.S. intelligence and defenses, which is advocated "by American statesmen."
_"That some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining American economy and its grips on the Middle East in order also to save the Zionist regime (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100924/ap_on_re_us/un_un_world_summit_ahmadinejad#). The majority of the American people as well as other nations and politicians agree with this view."
After Ahmadinejad uttered those words, two American diplomats stood and walked out without listening to the third theory: That the attack was the work of "a terrorist group but the American government supported and took advantage of the situation."
Mark Kornblau, spokesman of the U.S. Mission to the world body, issued a statement within moments of the walkout.
"Rather than representing the aspirations and goodwill of the Iranian people," he said, "Mr. Ahmadinejad has yet again chosen to spout vile conspiracy theories and anti-Semitic slurs that are as abhorrent and delusional as they are predictable."
Ahmadinejad said the U.S. used the Sept. 11 attacks as a pretext to invade Afghanistan and Iraq, killing hundreds of thousands of people. He argued that the U.S., instead, should have "designed a logical plan" to punish the perpetrators and not occupy two independent states and shed so much blood.
He boasted of the capture in February of Abdulmalik Rigi, the leader of an armed Sunni group whose insurgency in the southeast of Iran has destabilized the border region with Pakistan. He praised Iranian security forces for capturing him in an overseas operation without resorting to violence. Rigi was later hanged.
Ahmadinejad's attacks on the United States and the dispute over Iran's nuclear program dominated the opening of the General Assembly's annual ministerial meeting.
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon warned kings, prime ministers and presidents in his keynote address of the growing political polarization and social inequalities in the world and implored U.N. members to show greater tolerance and mutual respect to bring nations and peoples together.
"We hear the language of hate, false divisions between `them' and `us,' those who insist on `their way' or `no way,'" he said.
In times of such polarization and uncertainty, Ban said, "let us remember, the world still looks to the United Nations for moral and political leadership."
President Barack Obama, speaking soon after, echoed the secretary-general, warning that underneath challenges to security and prosperity "lie deeper fears: that ancient hatreds and religious divides are once again ascendant; that a world which has grown more interconnected has somehow slipped beyond our control."
The U.S. president's 32-minute speech — more than twice the allotted 15 minutes — covered global hotspots from Iran and Afghanistan to the Mideast and North Korea.
Obama said Iran is the only party to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty "that cannot demonstrate the peaceful intentions of its nuclear program" and as a result the U.N. Security Council has imposed four rounds of increasingly tough sanctions.
"The United States and the international community seek a resolution to our differences with Iran, and the door remains open to diplomacy should Iran choose to walk through it," he said. "But the Iranian government must demonstrate a clear and credible commitment, and confirm to the world the peaceful intent of its nuclear program."
Ahmadinejad, speaking in the afternoon session, stressed that Iran will never submit "to illegally imposed pressures" from the U.N. nuclear agency which has been demanding that Tehran halt enrichment, a key Security Council demand as well.
"Iran has always been ready for a dialogue based on respect and justice," he said.
But the Iranian leader said sanctions imposed by the Security Council were illegal and disrespectful.
The General Assembly hall was packed for Obama's speech (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100924/ap_on_re_us/un_un_world_summit_ahmadinejad#), with leaders and diplomats, including Iran's U.N. Ambassador Mohammad Khazaee, listening carefully, some snapping photos with cell phone cameras. Obama was interrupted twice by applause and received a prolonged and warm response at the end of his remarks.
Just ahead of Obama's speech, Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorin sharply criticized the United States, saying that the 2003 invasion of Iraq demonstrated that the "blind faith in intelligence reports tailored to justify political goals must be rejected."
"We must ban once and for all the use of force inconsistent with international law," Amorin told the General Assembly, adding that all international disputes should be peacefully resolved through dialogue.
Qatar's Emir Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani declared that terrorism "should not be treated by waging wars."
He blamed wars fought to combat terrorism for spreading destruction, causing the death and displacement of millions of people "as well as economic and financial crises that shook the stability of the world and undermined the efforts made in dialogue among cultures. "What we fear is for the war on terrorism to turn into commercial transactions, financial contracts and armies of mercenaries who kill outside of any international and human legitimacy," the emir said. "These are all very dangerous things."

My kids like the Beatles. My oldest son likes to line up my CD's on the floor and gaze at them. He is fascinated with the Apple logo because he loves to eat green apples. My daughter thinks Elenore Rigby has the coolest intro.

My neighbor's fawn colored female pugs are so adorable. I love their younger pug because she is very affectionate and her tail has a double curl.

No but you can fire rockets at it to make it disappear. Well, it disappears if I set the script that way, otherwise it just sits on the ground.
I tried to change the unit definitions so it attacked the player. have a feeling I did something wrong:

There will be a movie based on the comic strip Family Circus. I'm not sure how that will work. The Marmaduke movie was a failure.

I wonder if The Family Circus would translate into a film.
I doubt it. It's just a one-panel strip with bonus panels on
Sunday, not really enough to sustain a story. I like the strip,
but I doubt it will work as a movie. None of the "Dennis the
Menace" ones did and that was one of my FAVORITE strips
and comic books!
I hate it when Bil Keane makes his drawings look sloppy
and pretends his perpetually 7-year-old character drew it.
That is bull, plain and simple.

It does get kind of old. I still hate the stupid puns and the fake kid's drawings. That compromises the integrity of the strip.

I wonder if "Not Me" or "Ida Know" will be CGI animated? If they make a movie out of Mary Worth, I think Mary should be played by Betty white.

Hierofalcons, or hybrid "hawk-falcons" (falcons are a kind of hawk) have fertile offspring. Falcons that breed with other falcon breeds have fertile offspring.
A peregrine falcon can fly up to 280 miles and see the ground from over 5 miles in flight.

I had a pheasant cock in my garden yesterday. He was so big that when he flew up into the cherry tree the branch he landed on almost became perpendicular to the ground. And we had our first snow today! :help: Blizzard conditions leaving the ground white although it's above freezing so already melting. And now the sun's come out. :cross2:
