Are there any die hard Lennon fans out there? I am primarly a Lennon fan and then comes the Beatles. Does anyone else share this opinion?

John Lennon is the best there ever was...

Paul was the favorite by far at first. He was a stand-out, a real showman. After the sparkle of newness wore off, John emerged as the brain of the outfit -- a true poet, albeit a little rough around the edges.
I must admit, when I think of The Beatles, I picture Lennon in my mind's eye. He was the original!

All very well, but they wouldn't exactly have existed without Paul either, you know?
They were both VITAL! Both genius, both amazing! From their early head-to-head composition on songs like she loves you and frm me to you etc. they progressed to becomming individual songwriters. They inspired each other. John's my favourite.

I used to be a hands down Paulismyfavorite type person, but now, I don't know. John and Paul have had so much to offer to the music that the beatles produced that I love them both.

John was and always will be my favorite Beatle. He had a knack for turning a phrase around and making a hit song out of it. In my opinion, the Beatles never would have been born if it were not for John Lennon. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

You and my first-born (Dr. Winston O'Boogie) seem to be in tandem on this one; but you can count me in, too, 'kat!

The Beatles were really just John and Paul, with George and Ringo in the background. That doesn't make them any less a vital member to the group, but it was John and Paul who kept the oil in the works. When Paul was killed and then replaced by William Campbell (see my page for further details), then the spark went, and that is what caused the break up!

To me, John was the Beatle though. He was the front man, and the driving force. If John wasn't there to push the band when they needed pushing, then they would be half as famous as they are now.

You and your site.
I suppose it's like the folks who work in the bell factories - they stop hearing the bells after so long.

LtlLennon: I never pick favorites, per say, but I do recommend that you check out Lennon's "Walls and Bridges." It's a keeper.

I find him to be an incredibly intrigueing and complicated person and I love all the music he has made. But I can't really say I'm a strickly Lennon fan because I find that though they all were amazing musicians separately I always come back to the Beatles as a group because it's lputting four masters of their craft together.

Same here, John's my favourite, then Paul. But the Beatles weren't the Beatles without all 4, so I hold George and Ringo in high regard too.

John's probably my favourite now, although I love them all. (in a non-sexual way.) It was John's unique voice. I love it. I wish I could sing like him.

Although George is my favorite since I first got introduced to the Beatles' music in 1963, John was surely second because I liked his material much better than Paul's. This both whilst being a band as solo.

Litl Lennon, you seem to be MADLY in love with John. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

And I guess I'm with FPSHOT here. George is my favourite one, but John comes after. But I guess we all have to agree that The Beatles wouldn't even have existed without him. (And that's why they can't exist today, without him being present in the world http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif.)
