We're on the same wave length. I wanted to revive this thread to, but I haven't burned anything lately, not even by accident.
I was thinking of burning the U.S. version of Rarities today, but that would be a shame.
I have it on vinyl and want to have it on cd, it's the one that includes the created long version of "I am The Walrus" and "Penny Lane" which you put on yours cd.

Just for the sake of getting this back up, I'll tell you about my ventures in Dr. Ebbet land and trying to become one.
I listened to my Please Please Me Lp, mono one, and thought that it sounded much better then my cd. So I burned me a copy on cd. Ofcourse it had sound coming from one box only, it's true mono, then I thought why not try a simple program as Spin doctor and create a stereo version.
The result is what I just threw into the garbage can.
So there's my story, anyone else who burns better things.
Hi everyone.....
I'm new around here !
I love burning my own Beatles CD's. I've just made one I called "The Threetles".

Beatle-wise, nothing lately. I've been getting Rolling Stones bootlegs lately. "Alternate Sticky Fingers", "Alternate Let It Bleed" (great, BTW),"Acoustic MoFos" and "Beggars Breakfast". The sound quality ranges from excellent to OK. Us Beatleggers are spoiled, on the whole, as most Beatles boots sound very good. Most groups (studio-wise) don't fare as well. The Zeppelin boots are awful sound quality but have some interesting curiosities.

A nice topic to revisit.
I succesfully did a few vinyl transers. I burned "Magical Mystery Tour" from my german vinyl copy and also did two Abbey Roads.
While I might not be Dr. Ebbets, my transfer of the blue box Abbey Road sounds fantastic if I say so myself, at least it's better then the official cd release. The transfer I did from my MFSL vinyl version is less succesfull, but that's due to the fact that the mfsl version is inferior to the blue box vinyl. Still it's better then the official release.

I remember some remarks from my fellow dutch friend about opening ancient threads :wink1: (kidding)
But Legs, congrats on the burns.
I am doing some burning myself, which is mainly putting together the George period 1987 - 1991 including his sessions with others and including some Jeff Lynne projects thereto.

The last CD I did was "Please Please Me" with versions from the BBC. Although the sound's rather lousy in some of the songs, I like to listen to it now and then. I made a cover with a variation of the original pic that turned out to be so crappy that it does the quality of the sound justice. I had also intended to make the same version of "With the Beatles", and even had the cover, but then I found they didn't play all the songs in the BBC, so I didn't do it.

I made a proper soundtrack of Yellow Submarine. I edited some tracks to resemble more what they are in the movie. Unfortunately I have some tracks as mono and some as stereo, I wanted to do all lossless mono but that was too optimistic.
The tracklisting:
1. Pepperland
2. March of the Meanies
3. Yellow Submarine
4. A Beginning
5. Eleanor Rigby
6. Yellow Submarine In Pepperland (part 2)
7. George's part*
8. All Together Now
9. Sea Of Time (part 2)
10. When I'm SIxty Four
11. Only A Nothern Song
12. Sea of Monsters
13. Nowhere Man
14. Lucy In The Sky With Diamond (with Jeremy singing intro)
15. Sea of Holes
16. Yellow Submarine in Pepperland (part 1)
17. Pepperland Laid Waste
18. Sgt Pepper (fading out with Billy Shears)
19. All You Need Is Love (fading out with Baby You're A Rich Man)
20. Hey Bulldog
21. It's All Too Much (short version from the film)
22. Dialogue plus All Together Now
* George's part has the intro from Love You To, the Indian part of Sea of Time, and the orchestral part of A Day In the Life.
