Most of what I have is from Strawberry or Yellow Cat/Dog, and their sound quality in my experience is very very good, also the catelogue was in my experience and to my taste much better.

Which of the two do you think has (or has had) the best releases. You can (or rather you must) take in to account all the sublables, like Repro-man and Pegboy for Vigotone, and Strawberry and Yellow Cat for Yellow Dog.
I'll comment later.

Tough choice. Although I love the Vigotone releases and they're always put together very well, I have a soft spot in my heart for Yellow Dog. Those Unsurpassed Masters were really the big big ones in the early days, along with those box sets they put out. And the Day By Day series of course is also huge. So Yellow Dog has to be my choice.

Yes it's a tought choise. I love the packaging of the Vigotone releases, some of my favourite solo releases are by Vigotone of one of their sublabels, "Pirate Songs" and "Cold Cuts". But over the years "Yellow Dog" released many ground breaking bootlegs, often they were the first to release unknown material in very good quality, and the majority of my colection comes from Yellow Dog, so Yellow Dog gets my vote to.

veyr tough indeed but apparently we're all in agreement. images/icons/smile.gif the unsurpassed masters and day by day series are top notch...vigotone really doesn't have anything like those sets.
