Kiss: We are The Beatles on steroids

Gene Simmons and Eric Singer of Kiss have been promoting the 2010 Sonic Boom Tour of Europe with a series of TV interviews.
Asked whether Kiss would do anything differently if they could turn back the clock, Gene Simmons said, "We have no regrets. If I have a tombstone, I know exactly what it's gonna say: Thank you and goodnight. No regrets, no nothing".
Commenting on why a different band member takes the role of lead vocalist in different songs, Simmons explained, "In the beginning we were delusional. We wanted to be The Beatles on steroids. Bigger, better. A treat for the ears and the eyes".
The "demon" had a word to say about some other fellow musicians: "We don't take ourselves seriously. What we do is grand, it's a spectacle and we stand guilty as charged by our harshest critics. It would be easier to be one of the greats of British music like [Rolling Stones guitarist] Keith Richards or [Queen guitarist] Brian May; put on a T-shirt, some snickers and you're ready for battle."
Simmons criticized acts that are not entertaining on stage: "Fans work all week long and save enough money to go and see a band live who stand there and look at their shoes. If you ever do that to me, I'm gonna find where you live" he concluded.
