From the same city as the Fab Four and sharing the same manager, Gerry and the Pacemakers are a deservedly successful group who still continue to bring joy into our lives :cool1:

What is your favourite song? Did you adore Gerry Marsden's huge smile too?

Personally, I really like the beautiful 'Ferry Cross The Mersey', the fast-paced 'It's Gonna Be Alright', 'How Do You Do It', and 'I Like It'. Yes indeedy!

Can anyone add to this list of favourites?

Great band, and great exponents of de Meeeehhhsey sound. But you can see why they never had to contend with hordes of screaming girls. No offence, lads, but....

Hello Ketman

Your comment made me giggle. You do have a point but I think they are, albeit in there own way, cute! :blush4:

And I like your impression of the Liverpudlian accent. Very good! When I read it out loud, it was as if I was a Scouser!

I :heart1: Gerry Marsden!

What do others think?

I knew someone who was lucky enough to have George give him a tour of his Maui home. In a music room, he said he was surprised to see framed pictures of George with Gerry Marsden. Not that it was unusual necessarily, but George didn't have up pics with say him and EC or he and other friends... but had chosen these of him and Gerry. Could be he and George were pretty good buddies. :)

Thank you for your interesting comment Hari's Chick. No guessing as to who your special Beatle is then! (To be honest, your nickname gave it away!) "Very distinguished, like".

The following two photos of Gerry with the Beatles are from his own wonderful website (http://www.gerrymarsden.co.uk)...
