I'm posting this here because I'm hoping I won't be overwhelmed with requests to post it or email out the mp3.

So here's my brief review:

I'm not too thrilled. I'm actually at the DbD stage right now where they're rehearsing this song a lot and I love George and John with their falsetto voices. Somehow, those falsetto voices got turned into a weird chorus-like echoy noise for the first two choruses. This really turned me off to the tune as a whole. Well, that and the organ droning through the entire last-half of the song. I don't think it's much better than Spector's orchestration.

However, George's solo (someone said you can hear both versions of it...I honestly don't know which one it is) comes through crisp and clear. John's bass is barely audible (which may be a good thing). Paul's voice is so clean that if I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd bet he re-recorded it. But he obviously didn't.

It would be very difficult to tell what take this is because the backing track and vocal are still buried under extra stuff, or so it seems.

I dunno, I only listened once. I'd be more than happy to email it to someone who could post it to the world.

But now some people are saying it's completely the version from the movie, but I really don't think so.

I hated then and I hate to find out that they did it again on this release. Isn't there enough from the Get Back session to release without creating more mixes.

I guess it's take 27A (the
single/album take) and 27B (the film take). The extra verse is missing though.

It's a totally different mix.

I think he's overreated a tad. I've heard it and it's not worth getting THAT upset over. It's a stupid project to start out with, I agree, but the quality isn't horrible. It's just...different. images/icons/frown.gif
