I see that some of you found the track listing for the Naked bonus CD coming out next month...

One After 909
Because I Know You Love Me So
Don't Pass Me By
Taking A Trip To Carolina
John's Piano Piece

Back In The USSR

Can You Dig It?
Get Back
So I had an idea. I'm currently broadcasting 3 versions of "Get Back" on the RADIO (http://www.beatlelinks.net/pages/revolutionradio.html) page, and I thought it would be cool to have some bonus tracks added at the end. Does anybody want to sift through all of the A or B rolls and find some of the songs listed above? For some of them, they have to be talking about one specific performance, and for others they could be anything really. Like they only did "Taking A Trip To Carolina" once, but they must have done "Get Back" a billion times. In those cases, maybe pick a really good version, like the "No Pakistanis" version would be cool. "Paul's Piano Piece" could mean a track from any of the days he showed up early and played for the camera, so we can just pick one. Some songs we'd just have to totally guess or just leave out. And then we could always add a few more that have become known to many over the years, like "I'm So Tired" with Paul on vocals.
I'll just need to know which camera roll (A or B) and also at what time in each roll they do the song. It's not an easy thing, but maybe somebody out there has a ton of time on their hands. Thanks in advance to anybody willing to do it.

Someone (Claudio) from the beatlegs yahoo group has already done just that....
1. Sun King
Twickenham Film Studios, January, 2nd, 1969.
A track done 5 times by the Beatles at Twickenham. This one is likely the
one "glued" to a medley with Don't Let Me Down. See second track for more
info...
2. Don't Let Me Down
Twickenham Film Studios, January, 2nd, 1969.
Medley lenght aprox: 3' 39''
John and George share the mike on this performance. Ringo arrives and takes
on the drums. Paul is the last on to arrive in the studio and George wishes
him Happy New Year.
3. One After 909
Twickenham Film Studios, January, 3rd, 1969.
Aprox lenght.: 3' 01''
The first early track to be rescued by Paul and John for to appear on this
CD. Although the track was rehearsed exaustively by the Fabs that January,
the one picked up here is likely one of the very first run-throughs. Due to
its position on the tracklist, before Because I Know You love Me So, high
chaces to being the first take.
4. Because I Know You Love Me So
Twickenham Film Studios, January, 3rd, 1969.
Aprox. lenght: 2' 27''
The one and only performance of this early Lennon/McCartney original
throughout the sessions.
It was never recorded professionaly by the Beatles or anothre act as far as
I'm concerned.
John starts it off and is followed by Paul.
5. Don't Pass Me By
Haven't found any data concerned this one. Any ideas?
6. Taking A Trip To Carolina
Twickenham Film Studios, January, 3rd, 1969.
Aprox. lenght: 34'' or 22''
Ringo takes on the piano and shows to his partners a bit of his new
composition. This track appears two times throughout the sessioins, in the
same day. Both performance as very short in lenght.
7. John's Piano Piece
Didn't get to identify this piece. Would it be the early instrumental
version of Imagine?
Still in the dark.
8. Child Of Nature
Twickenham Film Studios, January, 2nd, 1969 or Apple Studios,January, 24th,
1969.
Aprox. lenght: 1' 50'' or 1'44'' each.
Child Of Nature was performed twice by the Beatles. The version chosen for
this project is likely the early one, with John and George sharing vocals.
9. Back In The USSR
Twickenham Film Studios, January, 3rd, 1969
Aprox lenght.: 11''
George plays a snippet of this song and asks the other Beatles whether the
"old" songs like that will be considered for the live show.
10. Every Little Thing
Twickenham Film Studios, January, 3rd, 1969.
Aprox. lenght: 24''
Paul and George perform a bit of this Beatles For Sale's song. The Let It
Be's director, Michael Lindsay-Hogg, queries the Beatles if they fancy
including some oldies in the live show and John says it's quite likely.
11. Don't Let Me Down
Twickenham Film Studios and Apple Studios, several dates in January, 1969.
One of the most performed by the Fabs: approximately 56 vezes times during
2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 22, 28 and 30 of January.
Hard to know which one has been picked up to this CD.
12. All Things Must Pass
Twickenham Film Studios and Apple Studios, January, 1969.
All Things Must Pass was also worked by the group on several days: 2, 3, 6,
8 and 29. As most of the content dates back to the early rehearsals my bet
is that the one chosen was taped in Twickenham - the first or second take,
as the latter one is more complete and features George singing along with
John.
13. She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
Twickenham Film Studios e Apple Studios, janeiro de 1969.
Hard to know wich one was picked as it was rehearsed several times on the 6,
7, 8, 9 and 22.
Athough there are hints that the one chosen is one of the early takes, there
are some possibilities that the track is one of the unheard ones so far by
the collectors.
14. Paul's Piano Piece
It's likely an early version of Maybe I'm Amazed, but it's hard to admit as
Paul appeared several times behind the keyboards.
15. Get Back
Twickenham Film Studios and Apple Studios, January,1969.
Hard to know which one as it was rehearsed approx. 70 times during 7, 9, 10,
13, 23, 24, 27, 28 and 30. Would it be the embrionic version, done January,
7?
16. Two Of Us
Twickenham Film Studios and Apple Studios, January, 1969.
Performed on the 2, 3, 6, 8, 9, 24, 26 and 31, Two Of Us remains one of the
most played throughout the Get Back/Let It Be sessions.
But...which one would have been picked to occupy its place on the disc? The
very first time it was done was on the 2nd, when Paul teaches the chords to
his partners. This version's lenght is approx. 7 minutes long.
17. Maggie Mae
Apple Studios, January, 24th, 1969.
Aprox. lenght: 58''
As it's a follow-up to Fancy My Chances With You on the tracklisting, this
version is likely to be the one which is almost 1 minute long. The 36'
seconds long was the one taken off Let It Be and that people accused of
being "robbed" by Paul...not likely, folks! The longish one is here for your
pleasure.
18. Fancy My Chances With You
Apple Studios, January, 24th, 1969.
Aprox. lenght: 27''
John and Paul share the vocals on this early original composition. They
clearly don't recall the complete lyrics on this run-through. Mal Evans
turns up and warns him that they haven't already eaten. Paul then suggests
an exotic plate: boiled testicle...
19. Can You Dig It?
Apple Studios, Saville Row.
Duração aprox.: - This track was performed only at Apple days 24, 26, 27 and
29. The take chosen may originate from any one of those sessions, though I
don't think the edited one from the first Let it Be was the chosen one. It's
likely the one where John announces it as Can you dig it, instead of Dig it.
20. Get Back
Twickenham Film Studios and Apple Studios, January, 1969.
Check track 15 for more info.

Some others replied and agreed for the most part. I know it doesn't include the Roll # or DbD volume, but I could help figure that out tonight when I get home from work. Just let me know if you'd like me to, Jerry. (I don't have any B-rolls though.)

Perfect, that's half the job already, thanks. Yeah, if you have the time to figure out some of the camera rolls, then please do it. As I look through this list, it's not exactly earth-shattering. Oh well, let's not start another Apple bashing session.

By the way, where did you guys get the track listing from anyway? The official site?

Actually, is it known or has anybody tried to figure out which performances will be included on the first CD? That would make more sense, I could broadcast those first and then the bonus stuff later.

Get Back
Same as the original release; without the dialogue and rooftop ending of album version, or the reprise ending of single version.
Dig A Pony
Rooftop performance, same as the original release; re-did the Phil Spector's edits.
For You Blue
Same as the original release; clean-up version.
The Long And Winding Road
Different take to the released versions on Let It Be and Anthology 3; Studio performance, the last day of recording; same as the one on the film; subtle lyrics alternation.
Two Of Us
Same as the original release; without the opening dialogue.
I’ve Got A Feeling
Mixture of the two rooftop performances; completely new edit.
One After 909
Rooftop performance, same as the original release; clean-up version.
Don't Let Me Down
Rooftop performance.
I Me Mine
Same as the original release; with the same overdubs.
Across The Universe
Same as the original release; without Phil Spector's overdubs.
Let It Be
Same as the original release; with George's original guitar solo.
That's a way to get started anyway. I don't think anybody has bothere to figured out the roll numbers or anything yet.
Of course, Across the Universe is just the charity album version with no birds (of both kinds). images/icons/smile.gif

Man, that sucks in my opinion. I know I've read it before, but looking at it again just bothers me. I think if you listen to that "Final Compilation" thing, you'll basically get the Naked CD. I'll probably just stick to the bonus CD.

Yeah, I agree...trying to find the pre-Spector takes of the real album won't yield anything spectacular.
Do you want me to do the first 10 and you do the last 10 tracks? I may have time for more, I don't know yet.

Ok, here are my findings:
1. Sun King--My bet goes with Day by Day vol. 1 disc B on roll 7A
from 10:32 to 11:05 or so, which blends right into Don't Let Me Down
at 11:07 until 11:44. It could also be one on roll 2A but the 7A version
has a much clearer rendition of Sun King. (Personally, I would never have
figured out that's Sun King without Sulpy's help.) Anyway, the version I
picked is nice cuz it's just John and his electric guitar, no coughing or"
yelling over it.
2. Don't Let Me Down (see above)
3. One After 909--I think the easiest way to get this is on Thirty Days disc 1,
track 15 (3 min. 15 seconds). However, you can also find it on Nagra roll 16A,
DbD vol. 2 disc B. At 9:40 into the roll, John starts with 909, but maybe Naked
will start at 11:10 instead. This ends at 12:34.
4. Because I Know I Love Her So--This is really a medley with 909 (see above).
Again, the easiest way to get this is on Thirty Days disc 1, track 16 (2 min. 30 sec).
The music starts on Nagra roll 16A at 13:40, though highly interesting dialogue
between the songs begins at 12:34. So, the medley goes from 9:40 until 12:34. I highly
doubt Naked will include all that.
5. Don't Pass Me By--I cannot find this on any A roll. However, Dr. Pataphysical's Get Back
Sessions Day by Day vol. 3 lists this song as track 26. No idea if that's A or B roll. I
am qutie sure that it's from within the same hour or two of the following number.
6. Taking a Trip to Carolina--Clearly from DbD vol. 2, dis A, roll 12A, track 3.
At 8:35 Ringo announces the song to George and Paul, and ends at around 9:15 or 9:23.
Depends on how one defines "ending."
7. John's Piano Piece--Absolutely no clue. I don't recall him ever being at a piano even.
An organ, yes.
8. Child of Nature--Almost certainly DbD vol. 1 disc A, track 2, roll 2A. It's listed as
"On the Road to Marakesh." Starts at 9:40, and you could end it either at 10:29 or 11:30.
The only thing that concerns me about picking this version is that we're going back in time.
But maybe Apple didn't realize that. There is a version at Apple, but nearly all the rest
are from Twinkenhem.
9. Back in the USSR--This is a very brief guitar bit on DbD vol. 3, disc B, track 4, roll 24A.
From 6:17 to 6:28.
10. Every Little Thing--One could easily link up these two with nearly a minute of dialogue.
Same tracklisting as #9...starts at 7:13 and ends at 7:40.
TA-DA!
