What boot would you MOST like to have but probably will never even see? What I mean is, things that are not available now on boot and may never be, unless someones still sitting on a stash somewhere, which seems unlikely. My dream Beatleg CD?
"She Loves You" sessions: Sure it doesnt exist...or does it?
"In My Life": From the end of the Candlestick Park show. It was only the intro, but so curious I'd love to hear it.
"I Want To Hold Your Hand" sessions
"Now And Then": How complete was this Threetles song? Depends on who you ask; Jeff Lynne insinuates its more finished than Aspinall let on. For that matter, stuff from the Free as a Bird and Real Love sessions would be nice as well. Even if its just jamming and chat. And didnt they do a bit of incidental music for "Anthology", but then decided to do actual songs?
"Back In the USSR" sessions
"Ballad of John and Yoko" sessions
"Peggy Sue Got Married": from the sessions that produced "I Me Mine" in '70.
"Woman": Paul claimed the Beatles did a full demo of this for Peter and Gordon.
"Carnival of Light": Just to get the damn thing out so people will stop asking! images/icons/smile.gif
More "Abbey Road" Sessions Especially for "Here Comes The Sun"
"Red Hot": This song smokes, so I'd love to hear the whole thing!
"Please Please Me": was the slow version ever even recorded? If so...
"Revolution" Outtakes
"Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band": Outtakes
"I Dont Want To Spoil The Party": any alternates will do!

I'm sure there are several I'm not thinking of. Maybe you could add yours? images/icons/smile.gif

Good topic Joel! graemlins/thumbsup2.gif *

Off the top of my head, I'd like to hear the third 'Quarry Men' tape (the one that's supposed to have a version of 'When I'm Sixty-Four' on it), the version of 'Fever' they recorded in Hamburg (the first recording of John, Paul, George and Ringo - why this wasn't on the 'Anthology', I don't know) and finally, the full version of 'Putting On the Style' from the Woolton Village Fete in 1957.
With regards to your list, it seems pretty certain that the session tape for 'She Loves You' was wiped and it appears that the slow version of 'Please Please Me' was never recorded in the first place (I wonder if Roy Orbison ever did a cover though..?).

How about all 8,238 takes of "I'm So Tired." That would be a nice way to spend the evening.

I'd like more Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt. Pepper outtakes. I don't have all those Silent Sea releases that go through each period, but even with Soul Sessions and the Abbey Road Studio Sessions, I still don't have enough Rubber Soul outtakes.

I want some Dr. Robert and early Taxman takes. What about Good Day Sunshine?

I've never heard outtakes of Lovely Rita.

I don't really care for live recordings much, but the ending of Candlestick Park would be wonderful.

An outtake of "Nutopian international anthem" perhaps images/icons/wink.gif

For real, I'll start with some "Cloud nine" outtakes, or some early versions, demo's from the "Brainwashed" songs.
I'll think about more Beatle related thing.

1. The 27 minute version of Helter Skelter!

2. George playing 'answering phrases' on guitar during Hey Jude--the one Paul was referring to in the LIB movie. If it's out there, I haven't heard it.

3. What I'd REALLY like to hear is the unedited interviews they did for The Anthology project, however many hours of them that might exist.
I'd like to hear what hit the editing room floor.
Preferrably separated by Beatle.

Actually...Orbison was going to do a slow "PPM" with George on guitar, but died before he could get into the studio with it.
And it is odd that so few "Rubber Soul", "Revolver" and "Pepper" tracks were booted. A nice set of "Revolver" outtakes would be so nice, but it appears the well has dried up for unbooted studio Beatles.

I never knew that Roy Orbison was going to record 'Please Please Me' - too bad he never got round to it, although, given that John and Paul must have told him that they'd originally written it in his style, I wonder if he ever played it on stage and in which case, is there a recording somewhere..?

How about Carnegie Hall, 1964? I know that there was a plan to record it but was it ever actually done? Either way, no known recording exists. images/icons/frown.gif

and While My Guitar Gently Weeps outtakes..?

a 1966 demo of "Art of Dying". if its true that George wrote the song that early, it'd be nice if he had maybe recorded a demo of it. If he had though, maybe we would have heard about it by now. *shrug* still, one can dream.

but when you start off with the half-hour version of Helter Skelter graemlins/drool.gif

I read on a Beatleg board that a rumor says that the tape is about 27 minutes BUT apparently 12 minutes is Paul fixing a broken bass-string. So that leaves only about a 15 minute version of the song..... which i'd still put at the top of my list for "Bootleg wishes and dreams"

With the Anthology interviews i'd love to hear outtakes of the three of 'em chatting together after George brings the beer. images/icons/tongue.gif

<font size="2" face="Tahoma, Arial, sans-serif">I think that you mean, or are thinking of, "Isnt It A Pity", which George said he did write initially in 1966, apparently as a kind of follow-up to "Taxman". Whether theres a demo of it or not, well you'd have to assume, but...!

Forgive me for the lack of details but there was an interview with a guy on a Boston radio program in Dec 2001 (i believe its still online, I'll have to look for it). in short, the guy said he interviewed George in 1968 (to discuss the White Album) and George told him about a song he had written in 1966 called "Art of Dying".
Now that you mention it though, a 1966 demo of Isn't It A Pity would be pretty great too!

Hmm, that is interesting that George would have actually written that in 68, or at least had the title. Thanks for sharing that, I'd never heard it! ( would have made for an interesting Paul is dead clue to have "Art of Dying" alongside "Revolution 9" dontcha think?) images/icons/wink.gif

ooh, never thought about Art of Dying as a Paul Is Dead clue! that one would've been a big one if it had been released as a Beatle-tune.. but that's a whole other topic. images/icons/smile.gif

Paolo mentioned a Quarrymen version of When I'm Sixty Four (can only dream that that was really recorded!!) Paul has said that he "wrote" Michelle in the reeeaaaly early days as well, to impress the chicks. Both early versions would be on the Wish list.

also, if there are any other recordings similar to the "Think For Yourself Studio Chat". A whole CD's worth of the Beatles BSing in the recording studio. images/icons/tongue.gif
