I've heard that "Many years from now"(mccartney book) is an autobiography. Is it? I would have thought there would have been a whole lot more press on it if it was.

I've read the book. It's as close to an autobiography that Paul will probably ever get. I think the author interviewed Paul for 100 straight days, because Paul talk about everything, including how and where he wrote almost every song. It's a great book.

I'm reading this book right now. Frankly, it's kind of annoying the way Paul breaks down the songwriting credit for different songs. "90% me, 10% John etc". To me, it comes off very petty like he's looking for credit. My feeling is, we already know the man is amazingly talented, why bother trying to analzye who wrote what exactly. It is a good book, though.http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I was given a copy about 2 1/2 years ago. I'm almost ashamed to say I never read it straight through. I perused it and only stopped to savor the passages that interested me. After seeing the Anthology videos, I was spoiled for life. That's what I watch when I want to get into the true history of The Beatles. It's so thorough, everything else pales by comparison.

There's a book called "McCartney" by Chris Salewicz copyright 1986 that devotes much of the story to their formative teenage years and early Beatle days. Some pretty good reading

Hey, Glenn, you have to stop and realize that Miles was asking Paul questions....the quotes from Paul are edited responses. I myself bought MANY YEARS FROM NOW a week or so ago, and read it straight through. It was a very positive influence, overall.....
