Well I voted Day by Day, for one reason:its the complete, unedited sessions, not just the music or interesting chatter. I like hearing ALL the inbetween stuff. BUT of course the Thirty Days series has 'newer' stuff,so I think I'd advise that to the less adventurous should go with "30 days".The whole shebang of Day by Day can be overwhelming at times, and damn boring to boot, but its as it was...pretty much.

I'm a completist, so the Day By Day series is my choice. The old Get Back Journals sets and the Twickenham Sessions set are really outdated at this point. The 30 Days collection is perfect if you only want a "greatest hits" from the sessions. But I want it all, and the full A and B camera tapes are the only way to go.

While Day by Day is the most complete series of the Get Back sessions, I like some thoughts on all of the Get Back releases and what you think are some of the best and esential releases, not just the three I've listed.

I'm not a big fan of the "Get Back" sessions, but I have heard a bit of the "Day By Day" series. And if that's the only series that offers the complete session tapes with all of the chatter & stuff, it's getting my vote. graemlins/thumbsup1.gif
Yeah, it gets awfully boring at times, but I've also heard some fascinating dialogue and other little things that would never be included on a "best of" compilation. And that makes it worth it. graemlins/smile1.gif

yay for DBD! i'm slowly getting this entire set, but i do have the 30 days set already. i think it's important to hear all the dialogue around a song, even though it gets incredibly boring.
not to mention difficult to hear. if i were not reading a book about the sessions simultaneously, i'd be totally lost cuz they talk so fast and rarely use the mics.
i do wish they would have seperated teh songs into tracks though, not by tape roll.
