Yesterday I was listening again to the bootleg version of this great song, the version with the boys sounding kind of silly and where Paul sings an octive or two up from John.
So, which is better...Paul two octives up, or the 'normal' way we know and love?

Personally, I'm a fan of the version with high vocals from paul. I just like the sound of it!

just to be an annoying git i'd have to go for the anthology version with Paul and George laughing their heads off all the way through.

i could never understand why this song gets so much praise and attention.

I like the anthology version better. They're all fooling around and laughing and actually sounding natural, instead of singing the same song over and over again in the studio.

I'm going to be the odd-man-out here. I grew up listening to the original released version so that is the one I picked. The other versions are good but I just can't seem to really get into them like I can the "normal" one.

I like both versions! I voted for the Normal Release Version although the one with Paul laughing all the way through is quite funny!

I was watching a TV show a while back on the rolling stones and it was said that this song was Lennon's repsonce to Mick Jagar boring everyone for hours at a party about his new girlfriend (hence: You Tell me that you've got everything you want AND YOuR BIRD CAN SING etc).
Anyone know if this is true or is it just another BeatlesMyth

graemlins/laugh5.gif I have no idea whether this is true or not but it certainly adds an interesting aspect to the song. I could see it as a John kind of thing images/icons/grin.gif
