Hello Perhaps,

If you want 'White Album' stuff and don't want to be busted by the Feds, try 'White Gold' (http://www.geocities.com/white_album_2000/white_gold.htm) - some of the links don't work, but I believe Paranoiac's the 'linker behind the site so you could trying asking them to make some repairs...

I agree with durstie - if you're looking for MP3s, WinMX has the best bootleg songs in my experience (better than Kazaa).

If you've got a CD burner and want to build up a CD collection, I'd suggest joining Bootlegzone, a Yahoo bootleg group, or another online trading community.

And of course, when all else fails, there's always eBay! graemlins/wink3.gif

It depends on where you live, but if you're looking for real bootlegs you can try to find out when there is a record or a Beatle fair nearby, that is the best place to look for bootlegs.

A good set is Yellow dog's Ultimate colection, you might want to hunt this up. Almost everything by Yellow Dog is worth buying, search around this forum for more info.

Also you can try to set up trades, Onosideboards can probably help you with that and give some info, you can trade for blank cd-r's to start with, since you don't have bootlegs now.

join bootlegzone and a couple yahoo! bootleg groups. i've quadrupled my bootleg collection that way. you start getting connections and it continues to multiply exponentially.

Thank you all so much. It was very helpful! For the record fair, how would i go about finding when, where, etc.? I think I can do WinMX, and BootlegZone doesn't look too complicated. Thanks again!!

Hello Perhaps, graemlins/wave1.gif *

If it's UK record fairs you're after, try this - Record Fairs (http://www.recordcollector.co.uk/record_fairs.asp)

PS: Actually, this is a more thorough link - More Record Fairs (http://www.spinningwax.com/fairs.htm)

Beatle Bootlegs are fairly common at record fairs, right?

To "piggie" back on "Where Do I Start," I have never done the bootleg thing before. I'd like some, but the sites I have visited talk about "trading." What if I don't have any bootlegs to trade? Can't I just buy them? Thanks for any tips!

Again Onosideboards can probably help better cause she is more of a insider concerning trades.

I think they mostly go after people who trade officially released stuff.

I guess the most common bootleg from the white album are the Esher sessions where the Beatles recorded demos at George Harrison's house. I purchased this bootlegged cd about ten years ago and it contained many great demos plus unreleased songs and songs that went to various solo albums. Tracks included Sour Milk Sea, Not Guilty, Circles, Junk, Child Of Nature and What's The New Mary Jane? Very awesome stuff if you can find it.

Go to Ebay and look up this guy- bigfrankmvp. He's got a great selection of Beatles/Stones CDs, but especially the White Album stuff you are looking for. The Esher demos are on 'From Kinfauns to Chaos'. He is a very cool, generous person and always sends a second disc of different Beatles stuff with your order and they aren't expensive. I just got the Kinfauns CD from him and he threw in a '68 Sampler with White album alternate versions, etc.
