The Concert for George has been one of my favorite recent downloads. It's so wonderful to hear so many of George's best friends together and playing his songs, and very touching to hear Eric Clapton, Dhani, Ravi Shankar, Ringo and the others share their memories of George. I would have loved to have been there to see this show. images/icons/cool.gif Anybody else here heard or seen the concert? If so, what did you think of the performances and speeches?

I was at the concert and I can tell you this download doesn't come close to what I've expirienced that evening! It was fantastic! (You can read the reviews at the Crackerbox Palace btw)
The quality of the download is pretty poor I think, but it will do for now images/icons/smile.gif

The dvd will be released later this year. I almost can't wait!

the thing I'd like to know were you able to download the complete show somewhere on the net, not usin WinMx or Kazzaa, if so is it still on the net and can we have the link.

Will there just be a DvD or also a cd, then I'll wait for that, but we've been waiting for so long is there anything for sure, release dates anything.

I've downloaded it from Winmx as an albw (albumwrap). If you want it I can burn in on a cd for you Legs.

I haven't got an unwrapper but to be honest I haven't tried it out, I only have the songs by Paul, Ringo and Tom Petty from WinMX but then gave up. But I still will buy the official cd ofcourse when it does finally comes out.

I have dowloaded some of the performances , and they are nowhere near as good as the way they sounded that night. But they are still good to have as temporary reminders of the whole thing, until the official CD and DVD are released.

I have downloaded the concert as well and it does not compare to being there. (as previously stated) It does act (as Siobhan said) as a reminder of the night. I had a really crazy day right up to the point of going in to find our seats. (wonderful seats) It is just a lot of fun recalling the events of the day and night, and listening to the download brings some clear thoughts back. I can not wait to see it once again on dvd.
