I wonder if anyone enjoys Family Guy as much as I do.I know it's rude and distasteful but I find it so damn funny! They make fun of anyone but it's a cartoon. If they had real people i wouldn't find it as funny.

I like it but it's overrated and inconsistent and relies way too much on cheap jokes/pop culture references that aren't attached to actual jokes.

I'm more pissed off at the existence of The Cleveland Show and the fact that we lost King of the Hill because of it. Fox's hard-on for Seth MacFarlane sucks.

Family Guy was so funny for the first few seasons, but it's almost like it's lost steam in the last few years. I haven't watched since about the fifth season -- the jokes just seem repetitive.

It was novel when it started but I agree with ringo_rama that it hasn't been consistently funny in a long time.

I like it and watch it from time to time, but like R_R said I too think it's overrated. The Simpsons is better.

I liked Family Guy~ some classic Stewie moments really can be so funny... but I stopped watching it because they seemed to begin to target Jesus. I didn't like that at all.

I prefer King of the Hill, too. I didn't know it was bumped? I still see it around other networks I guess. So, no new ones then?.... boo.

"You're drunk!"

"You're sexy!"

The blasphemy and the jokes about Jesus bothered me.

Peter Griffin makes Homer Simpson look like Cafe Society.

Stewie makes Bart Simpson look like Johnny Upstanding Citizen, although I do enjoy watching that sick little bugger. Why is the little dude so into matricide? What did Lois ever do to his sorry ass except clean it?

I've always found the humour in it to be very forced.

I dunno, I really used to dislike it, but it grew on me a little in high school. Some of the jokes are a little too crude for my taste.

Although sometimes it is quite brillian. I love the little things, like when Brian actually acts like a REAL dog.

Who could forget the time Brian drove to pick Chris up from school for some infraction and Stewie commanded the dog to stop the car so that he [Stewie] could beat Chris' ass?

Family Guy is high caliber and the epitome of class compared to Beavis & Butt-Head. Boy, how I hated those two losers and that show made me queasy :barf4: While I'm no fan of Family Guy, I'll take that bumbling oaf Peter Griffith and his dysfunctional family over those two (were they orphans) brain dead fools ANY day!

I LOVE Beavis and Butt-head! If you ever meet me in person, ask me to do my Cornholio impression.

A lot of the jokes seem to be geared more towards my generation and before. I have to explain a lot of the jokes to HP. My favorite character is Brian. :laugh5:

The show IS extremely crude at times, but at the same time it can make me laugh pretty hard - I really enjoy some of the pop culture jokes... although I seriously don't know how Seth Macfarlane thinks of some of these things!

Family Guy is his best work, though. I can't get into any of his other shows.

I find it funny and quite like it. I have no idea which series it is or anything but they do a double bill here each night quite late and I usually watch it before switching off the TV to go to sleep. I only really discovered it this year so I'm not some long standing fan or anything.

Isn't there one that jokes about the break in and attack on George? Someone has mentioned that to me before. The other night I saw an episode with a VERY nasty Michael Jackson joke so I didn't like that. Maybe the ones that make a target of Jesus aren't on yet here on the channel I watch because there hasn't really been anything like that that i can think of. I wouldn't like those kind of jokes either.

Yeah, it was one of those cutaways where Peter says that he used to be the security guard at George's house and then it showed him sleeping (?) when the attacker came. To be honest, I never found anything wrong with that joke; I bet George would've loved it.

I agree, George loved stupid/risque humour and would have enjoyed it.

They have had a couple of Beatle jokes. They had Ringo coming into a room & telling the guys he wrote his first song and Paul said that's great Ringo we'll put it right on the refigerator. There was another episode were Stewie got mad at Brian and said he was gonna do to him what he did to John, and they show Stewie introducing John to Yoko.

I do enjoy Family Guy quite a lot. It's one of my fav shows. Although I will say I like it less now than I used to. I first started watching it in 2005, and since then I think I've seen all the old reruns, which I very much enjoyed. But these past couple seasons, it hasnt been as good. I think I'm pretty liberal with my sense of humor, but lately they've even been pushing my envelope. Not enough to make me stop watching. Yet. But we'll have to see. Maybe I'll just so back to watching the reruns eventually, since 4 or 5 channels have them on. It just seems like the older ones were more about the story while a lot of the newer ones are about "how far can we go?" And I never thought taking Cleveland out was a good idea.

I think South Park is more risky with their jokes than Family Guy.

But it's also a lot more clever in what it does with them. That's not to say SP doesn't heavily rely on shock value too but they go beyond it; the "I can't believe they went there!" factor isn't the joke itself as in Family Guy.

I agree, that's why I've always enjoyed SP a lot more than FG. SP actually builds a plot which is then supported by all the jokes whereas FG's jokes are sometimes irrelevant to the plot line... like when they go into those flashbacks. I still find them funny though many times but that's a big difference between the two shows in my opinion.
