i have a cd of a recording that was auctioned off a few years ago of macca, john , george and stu playing at macca's house in liverpool in may of 1960. amongst the songs on there are the earliest known recordings of "i'll follow the sun" ,which is sung by macca, and "one after 909".
it's an italian import. some of this material does appear on anthology 1.
the other disc i have is a recording session in l.a. between macca and john in 1974. it is called "a toot and a snore in '74". it has macca on drums singing, and john on guitar and singing. stevie wonder also appears on keyboard.
how common or rare are these bootlegs? i have spoken to a few people i met in beatles chatroom who have the macca-lennon one. ta.

I believe both are well known, but are certainly considered rare, meaning you can not, or will hardly, find them in the download circuit, but may find them at Markets during Beatles Fests. But still rare as far as I know, compared to other bootlegs.

The toot and snore one might be rare. But the early rehearsals have been around on different bootlegs for some time.
Anthology plus has a selection of them.
Wildcat has the complete selection but is more rare, but as said the material appears on other bootlegs as well.
