winmix trouble

this is only sort of a bootleg question but i figured you'd be the people who'd know best.

i can't connect to winmix at all. i used to be able to, but my employer gave me a router so i could connect to their VPN and now i can't connect to winmix. i've tried every possibility i can think of, but i don't know much about networking.

anyone have any ideas?

could be a firewall issue. or something to do with the vpn connection.

you may try to re-install the prog, and check the connection type on the network page. . .
if you can check the firewall settings without an administrator, you may be able to tweak it there, but if it yer boss put you on the vpn you may need to check with him. . . .
btw, i saw you on winmx the other night, tried to buzz but the remote server would not let it thru.
i forget what i was stealin' from ya, but if ya get back on i'm the sleepybomb, with a ton of boots and viddys. . .

try setting it to secondary connection for now @ least.

i got it to work a couple weeks ago after i got rid of my linksys router. other things like msn messenger stopped working as well and linksys thought the router somehow broke. now when i just run zone alarm, i have no problems.
