Wednesday September 9th 1-8pm - Hollywood..

AMOEBA HOLLYWOOD :

1pm - 4pm: Hourly Fab Four Trivia Giveaways
Answer our Beatles trivia questions correctly at the top of each hour and you could win an Amoeba gift certificate and other Beatles giveaway items. You must be present to win!

5pm - 7pm: Chris Carter DJ Set
KLOS Breakfast with The Beatles host will DJ in-store. Chris will do a special in-store version of what he does best every weekend on the air.

7pm: Special Beatles Auction
Calling all Beatles fans! We’re breaking out our Beatles collectibles and memorabilia! If you haven’t been to an Amoeba Auction and experienced our host, Brently Heilbron, now is the time! Come in and bid on various Beatles items- vintage posters, books, magazines, toys, tickets, etc.

Purchase two or more of the newly remastered Beatles CDs and receive a limited edition Beatles lithograph free!

I wanted to go... I love going to Amoeba anyway! But, I just couldn't get down there. Between work and an appointment this evening, I couldn't go.

BeatleChick and I were there from 5 til about 8 pm. We saw Chris Carter DJ in store, and stayed through to watch the auction.

We didn't win anything, but she did manage to pick up the stereo box set. And...we met up with 'Linker DonnaMarieMoreno there, whom neither BeatleChick nor I had seen since Beatle Fair '04 in San Diego. It was great seeing Donna again!

Becca and I had a great time spending Beatles Day in Hollywood yesterday. We also saw the movie "How the West Was Won" (which she had never seen before) in its original three-strip Cinerama glory at the Arclight Dome Cinema, which was right across the street from Amoeba.
