I hate to leave a post unanswered but I can't answer this one (yet?)

There are no complete, downloadable Barrett notes anywhere on the internet, apparently.

There is a person who has color-coded and transcribed like the first year of Beatles EMI recordings.

That's all that I've ever heard of. Google it though. I would but I'm leaving any minute now for a yacht day trip. *sticks nose up in air* j/k images/icons/wink.gif

Thanks for the link, Ono - that looks as though it'll come in very handy... If I remember correctly, I think I've seen another site on the internet that has the notes from 1968(?): if I stumble across it again, I'll post the link.
One question - if Mark Lewisohn used them for his 'Recording Sessions' book, that suggests that the notes are the property of EMI. However, it seems that certain people are selling books which contain the Barrett notes, which in turn suggests that the notes have been illegally copied. If this is the case, and they have been bootlegged, why hasn't some philanthropic soul put them on the internet? Just a thought...

Thats a good point about EMI owning these notes...but I somehow doubt they do. I think these were made by Barrett as much for himself as anybody, to pass time. As you may not know, John was given the task to go thru the Beatles tape boxes to take his mind off his terminal cancer.
The great thing about the notes he took is this (from the little I've read anyway):it proves George Martin was right, he did not mix a stereo version of the "Please Please Me" LP. Whats released is apparently the unmixed two track tapes, just balanced and with a little echo added. I'll get the rest of these notes someday, I'm curious as to what he wrote about "Help!".

It is a mystery Paolo. I mean, hundreds of people around the world have attempted to organize the Get Back sessions in several different ways across the internet.

And you're welcome images/icons/smile.gif .

Well that's interesting...so Strawberry Records included true reproductions of the Barrett notes when they released Mythology? I looked at the scans available on bootlegzone, and none have the actual notes as far as I can tell, though the cover for the notes is there for 1967 (the cover on the PDF). Dang.
