I heard about this story through the grapevine at the Beatles convention last month. So it looks like EMI will have plenty of material to sift through for new releases. With the A & B Camera sets almost entirely released already, this isn't a huge loss for bootleg junkies. Let's just hope they made copies so they can finally finish up the A Camera stuff.

Ok, so the funniest comment of the year so far is that the tapes "may contain material which has never been previously released." Um...you think? 500 reels, I don't think The Beatles released that much stuff in their entire recording career.

500 is a lot of unreleased material. What did they do, record eight different versions of each song?
And, I wonder from what era of the group most of the songs will be culled from. . .the early days, Pepper, White Album, Let It Be?

The only thing I find 'hot as sun' in this story is the word 'tapes'. If you know what I mean.
