I'm up to volume 30 of the Day By Day series. Today I heard something that I'm sure a few of you would love to hear. It's the beginning of the day's session, and George comes in. He talks about how he went home the night before and couldn't sleep. So he stayed up and wrote a song. Then he swings over to the piano and starts to play Old Brown Shoe, with all of the changes and lyrics pretty much finished. He goes on and on for over 10 minutes. It's a sweet moment in the sessions.
I'm thinking of making an MP3 of it. I can send it once to somebody here with a quick connection, and they can send it along to anybody else. So...who has a quick connection?

I am on cable and I am very interested in receiving this.
I am not sure if I would be able to distribute it to others, but I have sent various mp3 files via e-mail before.

I knew you would be the first to answer. I'll definitely try and e-mail this to you sometime this weekend. Should I send it to the address you have listed on the forum? If not, send me a message and let me know.

FPSHOT if you could e.mail it to me, I will try to upload it to my homepage, will have to remove some other mp3's and I'm not sure if I can upload such a large file, the last time I tried to upload an mp3 over 5 minutes long it broke down, but I'll try. When it works people that are intersted can simply download it.

The Day By Day tapes are split up in to 16 minute tracks. George starts talking about the song near the end of one track. The next track is then about 10 minutes of him at the piano. Finally, Billy Preston rolls in and finishes out the last 5 minutes or so of the track. I'll try and edit the MP3s so that it's 2 tracks of just George.

I might have it already, don't know if it's the same version. It's from All Things Must Pass Part 2: Acoustic set. by Yellow Dog.
It's 16 minutes long, and George on the piano, George giving some instructions to the other Beatles and playes the songs over a few times. Don't know if it's the same could be ofcourse an different rehearsal of the song.

I just listened to the CD you're talking about. That's from the B camera, on a later date, and with drums and other instruments on it. The tape I have is from camera A, and it's the very first time he played it for anybody. I'm trying to figure out this MP3 editor now, so hopefully soon I'll have it ready.

Well I've got the file ready to send. But it's a huge file, and it'll take some time to send it. The next time I know I'll be home an hour or so, I'll do it.

Awww man! FPSHOT, I just spent like 1 1/2 hours sending the file to you, and when it was finally done, it said it couldn't send it because your server wouldn't accept such a large file. So I guess that's it, I'm not sending it again. Win the contest!

Very sorry about that Jerry, but nothing I can do about that (other than winning one of the contests).

One of these days I'll finally have a faster internet connection. I'll send it along then.
