I thought it would be a nice idea to put up an early version of Rocking Chair in Hawai, on my homepage. This is almost the same version as on Songs For Patti, slightly longer and slightly different. For the ones who haven't heard it before now is your chance to compare the two versions.

Legs song about learning to play the guitar.

I onced learned to play guitar but I wasn't very wise, one string broke it still sounded nice.
Then the second one broke, someone else would replace them but not this bloke. Only with the third string gone, I realised something went wrong, want to know what happened next, well basicly it's the end of this song.

What bootleg are you talking about. Songs for Patti, or All Things Must Surface which this version of Down To The River is taken from?
About Songs For Patti, I think it's a nice cd to listen to, sure it could be that songs later apeared on other bootlegs, The Making Of All Things Must Pass is excelent, should have bought it when I saw it. But still "Patti" is nice to. All Things Must Surface, I don't know, it's an colection of rough mixes and sometimes the difference to the released version is just an count in or something, still some rare mixes. Strawberry records re-released it with an better sound quality as the Apple Acetates.Which is the one you really should be looking for, even I make mistakes sometimes.

When you download the file using Winamp and you look at the file info you'll noticed it says that the version is from 1971 this ofcourse must be 1970, I made a mistake when I filled that in but you can easily chance it.

For cd 1 they give it a thumbs up, for cd2 a thumbs down it seems.
Got to give this one another listen to see what I think of it myself.
