Give yourself a rest from Tommy and his videos. Go outside; take a walk; enjoy some sunshine and pet a hound dog or two. Watch some beautiful eagles and hawks overhead; whistle a happy tune; pick some flowers; go swimming; enjoy the day.

It's what happens when you're busy making other plans.
Take (and give us) a rest from posting Tommy videos; chill; listen to some George; dance; pet a pug and take a walk in the sunshine and sing a happy little tune.

Well that was certainly different. Wasn't able to listen all the way thru as it kinda hurt my ears, but I thought it was pretty interesting.

Not allowed to leave the house.

"Breakdown" backwards.

Nwodkaerb? How in the blue hell do you pronounce that?
Not allowed to leave the house? Aimee, join me when I sing my famous tune. Since you have access to a computer, then use that computer to get help from people who are in a position to do so. The computer allows you access to the world at large, so I think it would behoove you to use it to your benefit.
Speaking of life, I saw a beautiful marsh hawk. That bird made me appreciate the beauty of nature and raptors in particular. That bird, beautiful, intelligent, noble and free....there is a lot of good to be said for our avian friends.

Maybe if you can't get away physically from the house, you can get away a bit a different way by reading some good books. That can be one of the nicest escapes of all. Or, maybe a creative project like writing a book, for instance, on Tom Petty. That might be something you'd really enjoy, and certainly you are knowledgeable!

Hari's Chick, you have spoken gems of wisdom. Aimee, try that. If you are a house prisoner, books can set your mind free.
Trust me when I say I know about having special interests. Believe me, I know about that. Sadly, not everyone shares certain special interests. For example, I'm a big Ford Falcon fan and I just LOVE a serious Thunderbird and other cool classics, but I know not everyone digs cool cars like Falcons, Thunderbirds, Dodge Coronets and other serious cars of the Cool Era. Just like not everybody is into Tommy and would like a rest from the computer images and polls. How about this - just have ONE thread for Tommy and ONE thread for polls? Since a poll exists, leave it for folks who want to vote and/or comment.
Hari's Chick is a smart, kind person who has good information to impart. Aimee, she's a good person to listen to. She's a good person period. I think her suggestion is a sensible one. Once you are released from house arrest (I know, I've sung you this tune so many times it ain't funny), get up off your keister and get help. If your life conditions are what you say, then somebody as computer savvy as you ought to hop online and find a professional you can contact who is in a position to help. Then there is that Stone Age method, that thing with the stamps aka as Snail Mail. Write agencies and people who CAN step up to the plate for you.
Do it. Tommy would.

Aimee, I've sung my famous tune so many times I'm BLUE in the face. I'm gonna try something different.
All right. Clap-stomp-clap-stomp. Keep the rhythm going. Good. Now join in.
It is time for you to start your life
Without rehashing any fear or any strife.
If the pills keep dragging you down,
Here's a chance to turn your life around.
Get on the phone or get online.
Find some help and don't waste no time.
Get online resources or send out some mail
Get yourself up out of your jail.
Take a break from the same old thing.
It's time to change the bags you bring.
Don't bring nothing to hold you back.
Run with the ball! Don't take no flack!
It's time to get serious, it's time to get real.
Listen up good cause here is the deal.
You've reached out to us to assist you.
You've got to take action, so don't resist, too.
All right! Time's now! Get up! Get out there!
Keep a list of questions and bust that move somewhere.
This is serious, so we're not playing.
Heed this tune and hear what we're saying.
We appreciate you listening to this tune.
Act on your behalf now; it's not a moment too soon.

Lol, I can understand how hard it can be to keep obsessions in check. When I become obsessed with something new (at least, usually it's something new) it's all I can talk or think about for awhile. :smile1: Case in point, *points to current sig*

Yeah, most if not all major Beatle fans have the Beatles as a special interest.
And we all know you can't have a special interest more interesting than the Beatles! :smile1:

NO.

What, there ain't no special interest as interesting as the Beatles, :joker: not even cool cars and raptors (although golden eagles ARE very interesting as are all raptors). :laugh5:
There's this co-worker whose special interest is old TV shows, even though not everybody shares it. Hey, that's what makes for ball games. Everybody's got their bag, right? Ain't no harm in indulging somebody time and again. Of course, if they get TOO far carried away and you've, like that Paul McCarteny song had enough and can't put up with any more, you can tactfully clue them in. Ain't no shame in feeling that way sometimes.
Hey, the Beatles rule. We all know that!

NO.
I don't know why, but that made me smirk! Thanks, Aimee!

Maybe just having Paul McCartney as a topic for special interest might rival that of the Beatles. Or George Harrison.
We all know that the Messrs. McCartney and Harrison are two very interesting people.
Oh, wait! A marsh hawk just flew by. Marsh hawks and other beautiful birds of prey are interesting special interests.

If anybody else is in the market for a life, should they look for one on eBay or Amazon.com under "Lives?" :joker: I doubt the Sears & Roebuck Mail Order Catalog stocks lives, although at one time they did sell livestock! :laugh5: :joker:

I hate the expression "get a life" and think it unpardonably rude. I never liked it, and I admit that I am surprised that you are using it as the title for your thread if you dislike it as well.
That expression [get a life] belongs in the toilet.
