I thought they were doing well.

I saw this article a couple weeks back. It says that the trouble with Crocs is related to the economic crisis, arguing that people are unwilling to invest in multiple pairs of shoes when money is tight. Crocs are inexpensive though, and I don't think they are considered by people to be a luxury item in need of cutting. I think they are simply a fad on the way out. The company would have been in trouble even without an economic crisis.

A lot of people I know love them because they are so comfortable and they are surprisingly breathable unlike Jelly Shoes.

My daughter has a pair. She never wears them anymore, because they are yesterday's news.

I always thought they were ugly shoes.
They were very popular where I work, but in the last 1 year, they have gone the way of the Edsel (or prehistoric Crocodile, that is).

I never understood why people would want to buy those, except the whole being comfortable thing (I've never tried one on myself though). It's about time they were on their way out...

Amen, Sister! I never liked Crocs nor got the appeal behind them other than comfort. Oh well, different strokes and all that.
And yeah, I'd gladly show Crocs the door as well.

I'm surprised crocs aren't on the summer rebound; I always see people camping in them.

What a weird place to camp! I prefer good hiking boots and good camping grounds, myself.

For me, comfort is the first and main reason for choosing a certain shoe. I love my crocs--it feels just like walking around in your socks, which I enjoy when the weatheer's cool.
