There are two things you must do.
1. If you don't have the track already go to this topic http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000202.html
or follow this link directly http://thebeatles.gery.pl/downbootleg.php
Then download track 17 - Beatle Speech (Think For Yourself Vocal Rehearsal) -

2. And this only works if you have the book - A Day In The Life by Mark Hertsgaard.Take the book open it at page 136, now start playing Beatle Speech and read a long.
There is the transcript of what is going on in the studio. It's not always clear what the Beatles are saying on the tape, now you can read it. A great way to experience a day in the Beatles studio, where they are making jokes, messing up while rehearsing. Here is a short bit from it.

- The band has been working on the vocal track and John simply can't get them right.
he explains with a grin in his voice. " Now I got it in me bleedin' mind for remembering it" After two takes they almost got it right, John jokes "If that works, I'm in for it!" After some more practice John announces " All right, I think I might have it now" George Martin teases him, " Oh, you're a right piggler, aren't you John? One can almost see the smile on John's face as he agrees, " I know, I got something in me head, you know and all the walls of Rome couldn't stop me" that line provokes more giggles from the other Beatles. -

There is more in the book. George Martin also made a mistake, John finally gets it right but then Martin accidenly deletes the tape! You can hear George Harrison say in a wonderfull dry voice "Naughty!".

A great listening and reading experience!

Wow, I can't believe you posted this, because I was just recently looking for info about this recording! That's spooky. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/teeth1.gif

I found a transcript of it at Bootlegzone also, but I'm not sure if it's correct. Is this the same version that's in the book (about halfway down the page)?

I can remember when I read that book a few years back and then when I heard the studio talk that I found on Napster, I was so excited! It is so interetsing to hear and read about it. I must do it again sometime! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif
