The single was released on Apple (cat no Apple 8) and was promptly banned in 1969. I've looked everywhere for a bootleg MP3 of the song, but I can't find one anywhere http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif.
Does anyone know where I can get a copy?

This morning I looked out my window and found
A bluebird singing but there was no one around
At night I lay alone in my bed
With an image of you goin' around in my head

It was originall released on Apple 8 by Brute Force and was promply banned due to the controversial nature of the title. I've been looking all through the net and WinMX but have found nothing http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif

Hi Mike I have the single on tape and to me it's not too impressive. Just my opinion.

I finally managed to get a copy of the song and boy I'm going to have to disagree with you on this on Bob.
I love it images/icons/grin.gif
I'd post the lyrics, but so say that they're slightly provocative is an understatement.
If anybody wants a copy, I have scrunched it down to 256k in RM format. If you'd like a copy then email me and I'll send it to you.
Remember, it's RUDE images/icons/wink.gif

I just found it listed on WinMX but can't comment because I'm waiting in queue still. It says it's by Brute Force so I'm guessing it's the same!

No Bozos,
You couldn't edit your post so that the 'hidden meaning' of the song is taken out please?
Sorry for being a prude, but I strayed away from it because minors do visit the site, and if they say "daddy, who's the ........?" then there'll be a whole bunch of embarrassed people...

Thank you images/icons/smile.gif

I interviewed 'Brute' a few years ago. He told me that about 2,000 copies of the record were made but few were sold. I finally managed to get a copy of this record after searching for over 30 years. The A side label is torn, so isn't mint but it fills the gap in my Apple 45s collection.
