when I think of the all-time best beatle bootleg, two quickly come to mind. the hollywood bowl shows and the ed sullivan shows. incredible performances, pure beatlemania at its peak. also there is the get back l.p. and of course the amazing ultra rare series. there are many off shoots to these recordings, but these are the originals and possibly still the best. what do you think?

I'm going to move this topic to the Bootleg Network Forum, I think more people who are interested will see it there.

The ones I listen to over and over again are the White Album acoustic demos and the original Get Back LP. I love studio outtakes more than anything, but they're spread out over tons of CDs. If I had to pick just one "desert island" CD, it would be the White Album demos.

At the moment I go by solo boots, Beware of Abcko is great to listen to, wonderfull acoustic stuff. Also boots with unreleased songs. B sides Paul is great, it has waterspout and Yvonne two great songs never officially released.
Beatles stuff the white album stuff.Outtakes and demo's.

I'm going to cheat and be unspecific. I agree that the Hollywood Bowl and ES shows are great but I'll go for anything live from '62-'65. The Hamburg bootlegs are a blast to listen too if you are familiar with the songs. The Complete BBC Sessions box set is fantastic- live & studio performances along with funny, smart-a** interviews from the 'boys'- Awesome. And I love most of the solo acoustic demos from John and George. With that said, if i can only pic one i gotta go with Beware of ABKCO as my favorite. It was the first one I owned and i didn't even know it was a bootleg. (me -> duh)
