It did not take long for Kate to land a major tv role after L Word. :smile1: Kate is set to be in a new series this fall on CBS called "Three Rivers." It's a show about organ donors and is a bit "House" ish. It examines the hospital dynamics of organ transplants from the side of the donor, the recipient, and the doctors.

I love the sound of her new character, perfect for her! AND this means -what?- 23 episodes, 24 per year instead of Showtimes stingy 12! :teeth1:

**************

Moennig plays Dr. Miranda Foster, "a surgical fellow with something to prove (the transplant wing is in her late father's name)" according to one review of the pilot script.

Autostraddle.com provides more details about Moennig's character from the pilot script:

At the show’s start Miranda has just left her last gig on bad terms with the head of surgery who banished her from the OR ’cause of her fiery volatile personality and cursing/mouthing off during a procurement (Miranda blames this on a bad period following her Dad’s death, re-states desire to be a good doctor, also argues that she was right in the situation to be upset, puts the patient first at all costs, etc.). Miranda’s intelligence is appropriately shaded by an unshakable ethical core. She yells but it is for! the! good of the patient! Like Shane, Miranda is self-destructive and tattooed and loyal to the bone.

Awesome news for you HC. I really get into the medical shows as well - especially House, M;D. =) - and this one may offer a very interesting viewpoint and stage in which to increase the awareness of organ transplantation.

Oh yeah... and it stars Kate and her aptly nimble and electric touch. How could I forget? :teeth1:
