I've made myself (and my sweetheart too) four CDs with Paul rare stuff... I'll say my 20 favorite are:

1. Waterspout
2. Lindiana
3. Return To Pepperland (what a great song this is! From a never released album called just like that)
4. Tragedy (a cover, from the Red Rose Speedway sessions)
5. A Love For You
6. Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance (from the James Paul McCartney TV Broadcast)
7. My Old Friend
8. Fabulous (from the "No Other Baby" single)
9. Cage (from the London Town sessions)
10. Long Leather Coat (from the "Hope Of Deliverance" single)
11. Send Me The Heart (Denny Laine song from the Nashville sessions)
12. Weep For Love (another Denny Laine song)
13. Maisie (Laurence Juber instrumental)
14. Proud Mum/Proud Mum Reprise (instrumentals from the Wings At The Speed Of Sound sessions)
15. Hey Diddle (the studio version, from the Ram sessions)
16. 1882 (great rocker!!! from the Wings Over Europe 1972 tour... Amazing)
17. I Would Only Smile (Denny Laine song from the Red Rose Speedway sessions)
18. Big Boys Bickering (with the f*** word in it... in the "Hope Of Deliverance" CD single)
19. Rainclouds (B-side to "Ebony And Ivory")
20. Squid (a nice instrumental)
21. Goodbye (yes, technically it's a Beatles demo, but it's Paul solo anyway... maybe his best unreleased song... Mary Hopkin recorded the official version)
22. A Song To Us (beautiful ditty from The Cavern Concert)

I'll stop that now... Although I could go on and on and on... good topic. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

A list with 20 favourite hard to find McCartney songs. From bootlegs internet and such. Like we did with George Harrison: http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000135.html

Mine is easy as most of them are from 2 boots I have, and I thankfully use the links provided by Amalthea for her McCartney albums topics on Red Rose Speedway.
http://www.jpgr.co.uk/fab2.html * and http://www.jpgr.co.uk/sm0001.html **

1. Lindiana ** - absolute a beautiful song, I can't believe this never saw an oficial release this goes for most of the songs on my list

2. Beautiful Night ** - I prefer the version that thankfully saw the light of day, but these early version is great to.

3. Love Comes Tumbling Down ** - Only released as an extra track on a cd-single.

4. Love Mix ** - Uplifting song, whoa whoa ao ao waiting for the sun to shine. Extra cd-single track

5. The Same Love ** - Wonderfull balad. Also only released as extra single track.

6. Return To Pepperland ** - Not as good as above mentioned songs, but it is another unreleased song and I prefer to put those on my list then different takes of released songs. Still a good song.

7. Yvonne * - Another great unrleased song, from the Press To Play sesions and better then most of the songs from that album imo.

8. Waterspout * (also on Cold Cuts/ Pegboy 1002) - Ah this is such a great song another favourite McCartney song. From the London Town sesions. The plan was to release this song as an extra track on the All the best cd but in the end it was left of.

9. On The Wings Of A Nightingale * - Pauls demo for the song he gave to the Everly Brothers. This demo already sounds good I wish Paul would have recorded a proper version of this song.

10. Rock Show - Complete version. This rocks! From the Yellow Dog/ Orange bootleg simply called John, Paul, George & Ringo.

11. A Love For You - Outtake from the Ram album. Tho Ram is imo a good album it still could have used a solid rock song like this. I don't know why it was left of. Maybe Paul felt he didn't have a good enough version, maybe it didn't really fit in with the other songs, who knows. From Cold Cuts.

12. My Old Friend - Great and beautiful Carl/Paul song. Carl sings the lead but Paul does a harmony vocal. This and the folowing is from the Yellow Cat bootleg Paul McCartney and Carl Perkins old friends from Montserrat. YC 064.

13. Paul and Carl chating and playing songs -Both of them playing nice acoustic versions of songs like "Lend Me Your Comb" "Matchbox" and "Blue Suede Shoes".

14. Keep Coming Back To Love - Extra song on one of the Off The Ground singles, and should have been on the album imo.

15. Lennon Medley - Great to hear Paul's versions of Help Strawberry Fields and Give Peace A Chance. Give Peace A Chance is really special. From the All My Trials single.

16. Back On My Feet - From the Once Upon A Long Ago single. I like this McCartney/McManus song.

17. I'm Partial To Your Abracadabra - Paul really rocks on this cover version. From the Ian Dury tribute cd "Brand New Boots and Panties".

18. Wanderlust - This is one of my favourite McCartney songs and yes there's an demo version around of this "Tug Of War" song, it's short but nice to hear and great to have.Don't know on which bootleg you can find, I have it on a cd-r I got from someone.

19. Here Today - Another "Tug Of War" song and another favourite. Since Paul isn't touring Europe (Yet), I have downloaded some live songs from this site http://www.beatlegs.org/main.htm and this song is one of them. Don't think he has ever performed this song live before, great he is doing so now.

20. No Words - A live version from the Vigotone Last Flight cd VT-164/165. From Wings Glasgow concert 1 December 1979.

So there they are, hope you'll share your favourite Paul outtakes/ rare songs.
