I've not even heard of a Black Album. Well, I guess every White has its black somewhere. ;laugh4;

I never heard of the Black Album either until I saw that someone was selling it on Ebay. It's a all black cover with raised letters on the cover saying The Beatles just like the White Album. It has three records with alot of songs I never heard of.

I'll look up which songs are on it. Bearkat77, or Jtal909 since this is a bootleg is it posible to move this topic to the bootleg forum?

Your welcome.

I don't have the bootleg myself but some songs from it on other bootlegs. I've been looking what songs from the Black album I have and I came across a version of Stand By Me. Not 100% sure if this is the same version as on the Black album it is fun to listen to, here's the link:

Consider it moved to the Bootleg forum.

The good old Black Album. Man, this one goes waaaay back. This was an oldie even when I started collecting bootlegs. If you're gonna dive into the Get Back sessions, I'm not sure this is the place to start. All of this material has been reissued a million times, in much better quality and on perfect sounding CDs. There are some older topics about this around here.

But if you're just collecting bootlegs, I guess it is one you should have. Kind of like getting a copy of 'Introducing The Beatles.' You have all of the stuff on other LPs, but it just completes your collection.

Something for the die hard fans. I am lost at how many bootlegs there are from the Get Back sessions. Think the latest and the most complete are the 30 days serries by Yellow Dog I believe, is that right Jerry. I will hunt up the old topics for those interested.
Me I am happy with one compilation I have, which has only 25 songs from the soooo many, but they are all complete, no talking and mostly with the Get Back material it is just a few bars of a song and then they go on doing another song. Something like, let's do "Save The Last Dance" John's singing "
Darling Save the last dance for me" and that is it. Next song... I've got a few other "Get Back" bootlegs but it's not were my interests lays.

Thanks Bearkat for moving this topic!

The '30 Days' series is a good one. It's the best of the best, all edited and presented very nicely. From Twickenham to Apple to the roof. It's on the Vigotone label. Here's a link to the first disc... http://www.bootlegzone.com/album.php?name=vt218&section=1

But if you seriously want everything out there, the 'Day By Day' series on Yellow Dog is the one. It's literally every sound recorded, day by day. When they're done releasing them all, it should include everything on the '30 Days' set and much much more. Here's a link to the first disc... http://www.bootlegzone.com/album.php?name=ydd001&section=1

Yes that's a good one, have that one to. Got the complete rooftop concert. Leaning on a Lampost and Get Back 2nd mix. And that's enough Get Back material for me.

the black album also came with a mock alternate white album poster with excerpts from the let it be book on the flip side of the poster. It's a classic vinyl boot if your into cool packages and all that, not too much tight material, but it does have the amazing 3 song solo harrison medley of ramblin, threw it, and mamma. It's really a beautiful performance.

WinMX has most of the Black album. Type "Black Album" or look for user El_Kabong83bb5d181a2b (that user has fantastic bootleg material)
