With Morpheus and WinMx you can download videos as well.

My experience is that

- WinMX has more rare recordings, but the problem is that you have to be lucky to get it downloaded. In many cases the User is not on-line or busy.

- Audiogalaxy is fast and has a lot. Also they have 'groups' where you can easily join in and exchange material. Send each other songs which is easy and fast. I am member of some and via these members I have been able to get some interesting stuff, just by joining the message board of the 'group'.

Q: George, have you and the other Beatles ever been to Russia or South America?
George; We don't want particularly to go to Russia, well I don't. And South America, I don't think they've heard of us down there.

This happens with almost every other file-sharing application.

My experience is that I've had my CPU slowed down tremendously with AudioGalaxy...never had that with Winmx or the dear departed Napster. Also AudioGalaxy is spyware.

Spyware...

When you download the Audiogalaxy satalite, you have the option to install a program by Gator - Don't do that. Gator is Spyware.
I believe gator just show you iritating ads, since "Audiogalaxy" is free, they have to make money in a different way. Other spyware, keeps track of which sites you visit on the internet, also for marketing reasons, to find out what we find intresting.

Btw isn't Imesh any good?

Spyware, I think I know what it is now, is it also that a lot of things get underlined when you are browsing? Like names of artists you have downloads from? I skipped that.

Imesh I have had it for a while, but it was so slow.

With WinMx,you highlight the track and click "Play". Does it even with partial dpownloads with your default mp3 player(in my case Music Match,or, if multiple files,WinAmp).

I was missing WinMX (http://www.vladd44.com/mx) the other day when i stumbled upon something incredible. There is a group out there calling themselves MXPIE (http://www.MXPie.com). They have put together an easy to use update that will once again allow you to connect to the WinMX network. Their update contains no spyware, adware or any other form of malware.

Check out the MXPIE Website (http://www.MXPie.com) for everything you need.

Along with their help, and getting my other computer problem (http://www.gemini777.net) sorted out at http://www.gemini777.net , I was able to enjoy WinMX (http://www.vladd44.com/mx/) better than I ever was before. Not only did they get me connected, they helped me fix my other problems as well.

Realtime help available for WinMX 3.53 users having trouble getting connected. Go to WinMX Channels (http://www.vladd44.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=6514). And thank you gemini for your Computer Problem (http://www.gemini777.net) forum.
