And I looked for Timbrent, which not found, but now I see Z:timbrent, will have another look.

You're the man, Tim! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif One of these days, when I have the time, I'll have to start chasing some of these down myself (especially the mono Sgt. Pepper) on mp3.

My username is timbrent
I've now finished Early beatles stereo,Rubber Soul,Yesterday adn today and Something New.
If you guys download from me,please two at a time...I've had crashes due to people trying to grab 15-20 files at once http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/frown.gif
Also, watch out as people do mislabel their stuff...I've seen several uses of Anthology mixes as the US LP mixes(three time getting messed up on 8 Days A Week).

Thanks Tim, that 'helps'.
Whilst downloading songs, when they are downloading I usually 'browse' through those members on air, when it regards Beatles related material or even different and have found some good stuff.
Nice thing here is that when you find a Beatles orientated member, in many cases you also like some of his/hers other downloads.
Do you also experience that compared to e.g. Audiogalaxy this WinMX does have very interisting database, but to actually get it downloaded take a long time.

very much so,though I've had problems in all my file shareware,in my case Audio Galaxy slowed my ISP up severely.
I try to get mono White stuff, but it seems to take forever to get to the top if the queue, then thye go offline...

exactly, http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thumbsup.gif
thing is with WinMX that you can only download when, or as long as, someone is on-line.
With Audiogalaxy it happens even whilst your computer is not even on.

here's something i've never understood about bootleg collecting--what's the difference between the mono and stero versions?
i understand the technical side of it, but why would you want mono White stuff? it just sounds better in stereo. i guess i've read that you can hear things in mono that you can't in stereo but it still hardly seems worth it.
just curious.
my fave live boots are the japan performances. i can just see george waving at the crowd during the accappella parts of "paperback writer..." they made a wise decision not to tour after that. sheesh.

This is not here.

The mono White Album is radically different mixes from the stereo one. Some examples:
Don't Pass Me By is mixed in a much faster pitch.
Piggies,Blackbird and Back In The U.S.S.R. have different sound effects.
Helter Skelter is shorter.
Yer Blues runs 11 seconds longer.
In fact, the oly two tracks from stereo White thata re exactly the same are Revolution 1 and Revolution 9.

Q: In the Anthology book, you talk about the unwound G string. What is that? I play guitar and I'm not sure what you're talking about.
