I don't think that is the guitar Louise bought for George when he hit the terrible teens. I am not sure, but I don't think that was the one.

Cool about the art! Glad you're at Links!

Thanks! You mean the Egmond wasnt the first guitar? if so im not so sure. Many sources including the Beatles Story in LP have it as his first.

But now that you mention it there is the story of the guitar he took apart and his brother fixed so I dont know if that was this Egmond or another guitar.

The picture you have on the the wall there on the right has what I believe is George's first guitar.

From what I can see I believe the Egmond you refer to is a different one.

One thing which is different for instance is the white spot on the fret just a little left of George's hand. I don't know what these white spots are called but the Egmond which you have standing there only has them on the 3rd and 5th fret.

Nice blog btw :smile1:

Good eye - actually the dots are called fret markers. What happeded is the dots you see are a "texture map" - which is an image applied to the surface of the fret board. In this case it has wood grain and the fret markers.

Just before I hit the render button I was clicking around furiously and accidentally nudged the image in the fret board moving it upward in the wrong position. Only after the render was complete well over 12 hours later I saw the misplaced texture. So guess what - that'll do for now since I have refined the whole scene.

And yes its not exact because I had only two photos in which to match up the body shape and both of these were taken on an angle preventing me from getting a perfect match.

I think the one George Harrison
took apart that his brother later
repaired may not still be on
earth intact. I don't know, but
George described it as a rickety
beginner instrument.

Louise later helped him buy an
electric guitar with her hard
earned money. That's love. :heart2:
