I went to the swap meet again today, and I found a great deal on a CD set of the Original Master Recording series. I guess they're considered bootlegs, but it's really just the real releases, but in very upgraded sound quality. The sound on the CDs is awesome, but the highlight of the set is of course the first four albums in stereo. Some day they'll have to release these albums in stereo, they just can't let them sit there.
Anybody know more of the details about this set? I think the records were remastered at half speed or something like that, and they originally came out in the 70s.

I'm surprised nobody replied yet to this topic. Here are some ebay auctions with the original LPs and the new CD set for sale... http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&ht=1&query=beatles+mfsl
The sound on these CDs is simply amazing. The stereo separation is very dramatic, more than I remember hearing before. I've been going through them all, and I can't even begin to list how many new things I've noticed in the songs. Little guitar parts, vocal harmonies, and on and on. And the first 4 albums in stereo are an absolute must for any collection.
