hehehe... before you'll have the so called (at least here http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif) night in white or white night, I just wanted to say that may be this song is a fake that was going around in Morphues (for them, Mrs Robinson by the Nirvana, is a cover of the Beatles, just to quote one...)... if you want to listen to it, tho, you can find it quite easily there

Ah, I was forgetting, we are in the right side of the ocean http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/tongue1.gif

Is it an acoustic song? Like an instrumental with acoustic guitar and some orchestral arrangements? I know a track called "Stephanie", and it's totally non-Beatles related... It is from the Buckingham Nicks album, by Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks, released in 1973 before they joined Fleetwood Mac. And it's quite a beautiful song. But that's the only "Stephanie" I know about.

Does anyone know something about Stephanie? I found this on Morpheus, and it is supposed to be a Revolver Outtake... is that true? And first of all, is that Beatles'?

Sorry for my ignorance, but I wanted to know, since it is a nice little great piece.

Can't say I heard of the song, does it sound like one of the songs from Revolver, cause George often didn't have a title for his songs till the last moment, and gave his songs titles like not known or Granny Smith.

Actually, no it doesn't... it's more a classical genre one, reminded me the instrumental pieces in the Yellow Submarine Soundtrack...

There's no guitar... it's a whole orchestra piece...

It starts with strings that play a nice melody, very listenable, then it continues with strings, to whom you have to add some percussion instruments and brasses, there are also woodwinds that are the background..

Suddenly a piano start to play, alone, the melody is the same that the strings played in the beginning, but there's a sort of variation, variazione sul tema, it's the correct term... let me hear...

now the piano plays with the strings (they seem to me violas, more powerful than simple violins) the tubas (maybe also frenchorns) are in the background as before... all the instruments plays with armony... they repeat the melody till a finale, which consists of a single note that is played till a fade...

so great... really http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif

I just downloaded this track, "Stephanie," and checked on here to see if anyone had any info on it. Did anyone ever find out if it WAS a Beatles song?

Yeah, I downloaded that off Winmx, and I dont know WHO it is, but they aint no Beatles. There are several cases on these services where if you've never heard of it, then odds are its not real. Like demo versions of songs you know no such thing exists like. Theres some band doing that with several songs. They seem competent musicians and its probably just a ploy to get their stuff heard. Basically what I've found: if it seems to good to be true, it is.
