What good new albums have you bought this year.
I don't know if I can come up with ten, but let me try.
22 dreams - Paul Weller
Forth - The Verve
Mudcrutch
Electric Arguments - The Fireman
Viva la Vida - Coldplay
Letter from Egypt - Morten Harket
A Dot of Black In The Blue Of Your Bliss - Magne Furuholmen.
And live
BJH - After The Day
David Gilmour - Live In Gdansk
I think overall 2008 has been a good musical year.

I can only do a top 9...
1. Scott Weiland - Happy in Galoshes
2. Filter - Anthems for the Damned
3. Guns N' Roses - Chinese Democracy
4. Katy Perry - One of the Boys
5. Jason Mraz - We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things
6. Beck - Modern Guilt
7. Blind Melon - For My Friends
8. Ben Folds - Way to Normal
9. Smashing Pumpkins - American Gothic (technically an EP but it's still better than their last album)
Those are the only albums I've purchased from 2008 that I truly enjoyed. And I guess the Sara Bareilles live album but I don't count that.

I try not to think of summing up what I bought  but here's the best of the crop for me:
Edgar Winter: Live at The Galaxy - excellent live album
George Harrison: Brainwashed
Glass Tiger: Extended Versions
Glass Tiger: Simple Mission
Moody Blues: Strange times
Moody Blues: To Our Children's Children's Children - the remastered version
Peter Frampton: Frampton Comes Alive - finally buckled down and bought it on CD
Pilot: A's B's & rarities 1974-80
Redbone: Very best of Redbone 1970-74
Tony Hadley: Passing strangers - I really like Tony's voice
