As a few of you know, I have already painted a couple of replicas of the famous Clapton "Cream-Era" 1964 Gibson SG... known as "The Fool"

A couple of weeks ago, I thought I would take another stab at doing one , this time to keep for myself...and here it is - almost finished, bar a few detailing and tidying.

That looks pretty darn accurate. Where did you get it painted?

What kind of paint are you using? Do you apply a varnish as well?

Yes, it will be polyurethane lacquered when its finished (and retouched)

The paints were those litle pots of "enamel' paints -so beloved of aero modellers everywhere.... i think the brand names are "Humbrol" and "Plastikraft" in the UK.

Nice job! I had an SG custom painted back in the 80's. Here's a pic of the back of it.
