The Legend of the Thunderbird.

I love the myths about this beautiful, equally mythical bird, this totem. The Thunderbird is a benevolent Eagle Spirit that differs from the eagle in that:

a) it makes thunder when it flaps its wings, henceforth the name "Thunderbird"

b) when crossed, the Thunderbird makes lightening when it opens and closes its eyes

c) the Thunderbird protects humans and smaller animals from predators

There are many stories about this beautiful noble bird. There are many Native people who believe that they had ancestors who were avian and human, direct descendants of this beautiful bird of folklore.

I got some summer pajamas and an outfit to do yoga in at a JC Penny sale.I got two tops at Jacques Pennay! :laugh1:

I wish I could find a proper exercise mat. :thinker:
Yoga mats look so thin, not that I'm not already well padded.

How to reel him in without him knowing he's being reeled in! :laugh5:

Seriously, he seems to like you, so should be easy-peasy to get to the next level, as they say. Don't chase him, tho, might make him nervous. You could get a little dressed up next time you get together, so he'll see you as a girl instead of a buddy. :eyebrows:

Well, I have to dress up for cadet teaching on Wednesday, and I have choir with him that day. But I see him every day. He was in my government class last semester, and we talked all the time and he messed with me and with my stuff!

Yoga mat might be too small. It's mostly used to keep your feet from slipping on the floor.

Thank you!

Sure doesn't seem that long, does it? :smile1:

Is Sadie the 13-lb bruiser?

No, Sadie is 12 pounds. Lauren is the big girl. My sons have started calling her Lilo because we watched Lilo & Stitch the other day and Lauren & Lilo both have dark hair. I think it's kind of cute that they made up a little name for her.

A mat for crunches is usually for comfort. If you want to PM me, GG, I can give you some tips on protecting your back. (I'm a certified personal trainer.)

This is an irritant, but since it's on this subject:

Ethan's in one of best friend's French class, and he asked her today, "Does Jaye like me?" She said, "I don't know," and he said "Cause I don't want to lead her on."

WHY IS HE DOING THIS??????? :scream2: :angry9:

It could mean any number of things. When Ethan and your friend's guy were having their conversation, did the guy ask Ethan if he liked you, or was Ethan asking him about you first? It would be helpful to know how the subject came up.

I don't know. I'll ask and see if my friend knows.

What do you think it could mean, with any number of things?
