ive searched through about 1st 6 pages here, and ...

they say world economy is collapsing. i believe them. we're heading towards an unprecedanted not only economic crises. my dad, the ultimate conspiracy theorist, says that the world goverment will be formed, because 'the invisibles' wanna control people-to the full.

any opinions?

Leaving the invisibles out of it.
What's visible is close at home. My company depends on the automotive, and we are noticing the impact of the financial crisis right now.

I hope the U.S. goverment aproves the help package for the auto industry, so Daf over here and Netherlands car get more orders making sure that we get more orders from them so we will survive. The company where I work already had to fire 5 people, and I am afraid we are only at the begining of the crisis.

:laugh5: ok we'll leave them out.
:laugh5: ok its a good thing not to take your own life too seriosly. who cares if we all die? NOT the invisibles.

and i agree...we're goin strait to hell

without 2nd coming we're lost

if the 2nd doesnt come, i'll be the third

i find 'the invisibles' hillarious-like making a parody on conspiracy theories. btw, have you seen Winter kills, with Jeff Bridges, Anthony Perkins and John Huston? it's hard to top it as a conspiracy th...well it's an INSANE movie.

i mean you have these TV shows- the avengers, the pursuaders, and know...the invisibles!

plus i missunderstood 'we will survive'-i thought you meant it literally, in a sarcastic way, sorry.

but i DO feel that some volcano is gonna erupt soon, by that i mean that something huge is gonna happen in the world soon. ive heard about 2012, the 2nd coming, or something like that, but im being too mystical here.

i edited cause of mysticism

But why 2012? Why not tomorrow, or next year? I mean who can really tell when the 2nd Coming is ........ coming? And whilst it's been some time since I've read the scriptures, don't we need the apocalypse :devil7: to happen and cause global mayhem and destruction that will pave the way for JC's arrival. And by global destruction, I don't just mean financial crisis. :afraid2: :laugh5:

The 2012 reference comes from that being the end of the current cycle of time to the ancient Maya. On December 21, 2012 the Maya long count date will become 13.0.0.0.0, after which dates are started anew from day one as the next cycle begins. These switches were thought of as the end of one world and the beginning of another. This does not mean it should be understood as total annihilation followed by renewal as many New Agers claim. It is probably more akin to a figurative death and rebirth concept and thought more like a time of great change. Looking around, I can't really argue with that. Ends of smaller cycles were also times of celebration, much like we celebrate the New Year.

I should note that this will be the first end of a great cycle in historical time. To let you know how this long count date works, it is five columns of numbers separated by periods for notation sake (our notation, not the Maya's). Working from right to left, the first column is days. The next column increases by one every twenty days, so is sort of like a lunar month. The third column clicks every 18 "months" or 360 days and is an approximate year. The fourth column clicks every 20 years, and the final column every 20th 20-year cycle or roughly 400 years. This puts the start date for the current great cycle at August 11, 3114 BC, long before the Maya ever started recording their own history.

The ancient Maya's must've been good mathematicians. :bigeyes3:

Ha ha. No, off-course not. :laugh5:

Congrats on your maths studies achievements that I've read somewhere else here. Maybe down the track you can revolutionise the whole long-term time recording concept for humanity, and give us a system that can be used by the people of all cultures and nations. :rolling1:

:laugh5: thanks. im just SCREAMING for that phd. I'll try to prove that the Euler-Mascheroni constant is irrational, or even transcendental, thats an open problem in analysis, my fav part of math, but i'm not doing that for the phd, rather differential forms.

:laugh5: ok i'll try. the system is just like when you go to Las Vegas, and play one-handed Jacks. :laugh5: ok, with additional condition that there are five those things that turn, and that first from the right turns first, others dont move until the first has completed a circle. then the 2nd from the right turns, along with the first from the right, rest stand still. And so on. why is it Aug 11 3114 BC? Cause 2012 - (- 3114) = 2012 + 3114 = 5126 is roughly 13 times 400 = 5200. You get the picture. its like a domino effect. and you see what digdad said-that a cycle will end in 2012, and thats cause all "things" are zero, except the first one.

Yeah, sure :bigeyes3: I'll keep this in mind next time I'm in Vegas. Unless of course JC arrives before I get to the casino. :teeth1:

You gotta be kiding.
The rich are the only ones not to suffer.
It's hard to believe that I can be serious I know.
But I didn't write my first post laughing.
There are some real things to worry about.

Bah humbug! There's no time of the year that you must be happier than at other times. Let's face it. Times are bad for lots of people right now and they're hurting from losing their jobs, their homes etc. The rich only hurt in the vallet.
