In august 1972 George has recorded two songs with Cilla Black on vocals and EC on guitar at FPshot, being You've Gotta Stay With Me and When Every Song Is Sung.
Does anyone here have the first mentioned or know it exists on bootleg?

This is all I found so far in the Beatles recording guide.
The song "You've gota stay with me" was written by Paul L. Woodall (who?) and George Harrison, not being sure if it's the George Harrison, according to the book it hasn't been released on bootleg, otherwise it would say on which bootleg, keeping in mind that the book is from 1993.
"When every song is sung" later appeared on Ringo's rotogravure as "I still love you". It's not much info but it's all I got. Anyone else?

I also checked out some bootlegs pages and could not find it.
On the agenda for further investigation therefore.
Thanks Legs.

Can't say I've heard (or heard of) that one on a bootleg before. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/thinker.gif

An article in Rolling Stone magazine, dated Jan. 4,1973, ended it by stating that "George has written all the songs for a new album by Cilla Black". But, this statement probably was referring to his contribution of the newly-retitled "When Every Song Is Sung" for her to use. George did produce some unfinished recordings of this song and another, "You Got To Stay With Me" at Apple in August '72. Also, an earlier undocumented piece, "Time To Cry" was registered on Feb. 24, 1972 with BMI. Unknown as to whether this song was for Cilla or George to use.
Don't know if this is any help, but there it is.

This kind of additional info is always interesting for me.

He also composed and worked with Cilla on a song called "I'll Still Love You"... though I'm not sure if this is the same title as the one Legs was referring to earlier(probably though), in which case it's the same When Every Song Is Song, as found on Ringo's album.

"You're killing me George, you've got me crying, you bugger" - Ringo's 1st reaction hearing George's recorded solo for King of broken hearts and 2 guitar lines for I'll be fine anyway, Dec. 1997
Ok, thought it might have been.
