Live at the Star Club in Hamburg

I bought 2 albums this weekend called Live at the Star Club in Hamburg. I don't know if they are bootlegs are what. They come in part one and part two. I got them at a local Beatles store, so I'm thinking they could be bootlegs, or maybe they are just hard-to-get albums. Anyone know? I'll list the songs on their in a few.

They're not bootlegs, no... they were officially released on 1 May 1977 in the UK and on 13 June 1977 in the US (both on the Lingasong label). The original recordings were remastered not too long ago and they are availble on CD, though a little harder to find these days (down here anyway). The albums mentioned above were put out after the Beatles (ex-Beatles at that stage), working through Apple, lost in their attempt to halt the commercial release of the LP on April 6 of that year. The poor-quality recording made during the last Beatles performance in Hamburg (on December 31 1962) became known as 'The Star-Club Tapes'.

The CD's were first released sometime in February 1987, remastered again in '95 and pretty much led to all the Anthology works the following year. In 1998, however, George Harrison testified in an English court in another attempt by The Beatles to prevent a new release of the 'Star-Club tapes' and won, handing over the original tape and all copies of the recording to the Beatles.
