This sure was a nice treat HC. =)

I have enjoyed Pink's music since her debut in 2000, and she rarely fails to deliver; same goes for her live performances. I loved these AOL Sessions HC... she was in prime form wasn't she? And, as an aside, she simply looked great!

Pink really knows how to lay bare her emotions. She has a wonderful way of expressing herself. She delivers a great depth of feeling, wrapped in quite some nice popcraft ( is that a word? LOL... ;) )

Pink has gone through a rough patch in her personal life and she has opened her wounds for all to experience. Fresh off her divorce, she shows us how she is still vulnerable, and ridden with angst. She uses her songs as her therapy in a way and she allows me to feel her turmoil as she reconciles her huge emotions.

I love what I hear so far. "Who knew" is excellent. The powerful "So What" has grown on me and I quite like its delivery. It is also nice to hear Pink's wonderful vocal range still intact.

Thanks for sharing this HC, I loved the performances.

I agree about Pink looking *amazing* and about her emotive power. This cd has made me smile, laugh, and cry. I am so wrapped inside her words, I just repeat listen and absorb each phrase like I am hearing some of the most poetic, beautiful, honest feelings in music for a long time. I love her phrases, turns of expression, meanings... the way she laces words together. I love the background singing in songs like in "Please Don't Leave Me." The music - the tune- omgosh- in "Mean" is maybe he best off the entire cd. What a tight song! Her landscape of emotion is just .... beyond words. I am so so so impressed. Sorry for the ramble... lol :smile1:

I am with you on "Please Don't Leave Me", she really leaves little emotion behind in this one. If you liked the AOL Sessions version of PDLM, you will love this emotive and expressive live performance for 4Music:

That is a most reasonable fee! Your generosity overshadows even your fair entitlement!

And an advance, my allowance of 35 popcrafts- uh- 34... :teeth1:

I now have two favorite videos. :teeth1:

The previous one, will be my favorite live preformance of any song, ever. And this one will be my fave official promo type video ever ever ever.

Man... this goes into so many levels of experience, that I think I've watched about half of the 296,659 views listed on this video trying to entirely figure it out. Amazing. AMAZING.

I read this on Wiki..

"Pink wrote this song at a party hosted at her home, where everyone was drunk or drinking except for her, and she wanted them all to leave. She went to the beach and had a line in her head saying "How do I feel so good sober?". Eventually it had nothing to do with alcohol but with identities. "How do I feel so good with just me, without anyone to lean on?", Pink says in an interview."

In the video one of Pink's identities is dressed darkly and is the wild child. The one in white tries to sooth, confront, ignore, deny, abandon, and observe the wild doppelgänger (double). Each time she tries to affirm her essential goodness and capability, the emotional split she experiences lands her in 'the white room.' She retreats to nature as a mirror of her inner intensity, which threads through images of both sides of Pink in bed together, nature/trees reoccuring speaking to the essential primal nature of this experience. Pink is sublimating in intoxicating artistic imagery the most basic and real human struggle... which she connects later through overviews of old cities and stormclouds..

AMAZING.

Freaking amazing.

Oh the Link is down above~ Pink always disables the embedding of her videos on Tube... but here is the direct link, too?

I've just never loved a video more. It is pure genius.

It was directed in Sweden by a famous fellow named Jonas Åkerlund who also directed Paul's Lonely Road.

Pink The Karma Queen
by Music-News.com - December 9 2008

Pink says instant karma`s gonna get you.

The 'Stupid Girls’ singer – who announced she is divorcing husband Carey Hart earlier this year – has revealed her favourite tattoo is one which says, 'What comes around goes around’, because it reflects her perspective on life.

She said: 'It’s my only truth that never changes. I believe in karma. I believe that it comes around in both ways.

'I’ve watched really good people have really hard times and then all of a sudden something beautiful happens. I’ve seen instant karma and I’ve seen karma that I think takes lifetimes, and I’ve felt a lot of it.'

Pink – who has a series of tattoos all over her body – also revealed to Inked magazine that the bows on the back of her thighs were a 'drunken mistake'.

Pink recently revealed she hopes turning 30 next September will provide her with even more insight into people.

She said: "I am not really angry at the world. I have let a lot more love in. I feel once you are 30, once your Saturn returns, the world puts you right side up again and gives you a pair of glasses so you can see everything clearer."

Man, wait til she hits 40! No, I think she is right. :smile1:

I never think of her as being angry at the world, really. She is so many things... angry at times, but also silly, fun, loving, everything really. She shares so much feeling, like the Beatles (esp John) did.

Maybe that refers to what she says about (Instant) Karma?

PINK HAS donated tens of thousands of pounds towards the Australian bushfire appeal.

The generous singer gave £112,000 towards the fund that will help those affected rebuild their lives after they lost homes and loved-ones in the fires.

Speaking to the BBC, Pink, 29, said: "I've been really affected by the media images of the tragic bushfires in Victoria.

"My heart goes out to all those who have suffered so much in these circumstances. There's little anyone can do at such a long distance away but I wanted to make a tangible expression of support."

She follows in the footsteps of Leonard Cohen, Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban who have all pledged money.

More than 1,800 homes were destroyed, 7,500 people displaced, and 200 people killed by the hundreds of fires that swept across the state of Victoria.

The Red Cross said its bushfire appeal had so far raised £46 million and there had been "an amazing response" from Australia and all over the world
