Well, the choice is really anything. I've got a pretty good selection of bootlegs. Live, studio, demos, etc. And I usually fill up any extra space on the CD with nice little tidbits. The winners usually just search around the bootleg listing sites in the database, window shop for awhile, and pick one out.

Although I co-moderate the contest now, I have won the contest twice. In June and August, before Harb and I began asking the questions. The two "boots" I picked were the rooftop concert and the Ed Sullivan shows. Both are great.
Just remember, if you do win the contest, you must sit out of the next month's contest. No exceptions.

ok, nobody jump on my case about what i am going to say-
the whole thing about everyone getting mad at me for "being aggressive" in the forums is a lot of shit.
i am trying to stand up for myself and the older members of the forum are coming down hard on me and litlringo for almost everything we say!
you know who you are too.
i am sick of it, and to me this place is a place of hurt words and feelings, and i haven't made it that way, other people have ruined the happiness of it for me. most everyone enjoys it here and it is a place to get away from it all, but it is a mini hell for me because of the atmosphere some of the members have created by yelling at me and teasing me. even though they may think it is funny, some people are more sensitive than others.
i hope every one understands, bye bye!

Some of you may have the image that i am a bitchy depressed person, sad and lonely.
but i am happy most of the time, and life is great.
whenever i am here it is a dark gloomy feeling that comes over me, and i hate it. so i'm not going to be coming back for awhile.
i'll miss ya, some of you.

Chey, you can't move your post because you're not the moderator for this forum. There's no reason to leave. Just turn off your mind, relax and float downstream. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

We are all friends here. Please don't anybody be put off by a little jestful sarcasm, friendly teasing, or written humor.
We're just a band!

Chey: From your posts I have always got the impression that you are carefree and happy!! I don't understand why you would think that anyone here would think you are depressed and lonely!!!http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/confused.gif
I know it has been said a million times in this past week but I have to say it again: It isn't a good idea to take written posts too seriously. I mean an emoticon (or whatever the smilies are called!) can hardly define the tone for whatever someone is going to say. So many times I have had arguments through emails where my friends haven't understood my tone. It's a fact that interpersonal communication can be altered by people reading something which isn't really there....am I making any sense??!
Chey I hope you don't think I'm patronising you - I'm not! I want to support you as best I can but this has all happened so fast and everybody seemed to be arguing over something a few days ago.
I know that in the past I have read into things more than I should have and snapped at people when in fact all they were doing was having a little fun. I have learnt to respect the differences in people's senses of humour - you have said that you don't find sarcasim funny but only hurtful. Well for some people, it is a total riot. Also, I think if anyone really did want to be cruel to you, they wouldn't do it by posting little joking comments on a forum that is meant to be about The Beatles.
Please Chey, accept the apologies and come out of hiding!

You're right, Lucy. Let me give Litl Lennon a little thoughts myself:
I've been into a couple of fights last week (and I've been here for only two weeks! http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif). But I've learned to understand all the jokes, and I think everybody has to.
I also think I've said this before in another forum, but "I'll say it again": don't go, Litl Lennon. I don't think you're depressive, I think you're a wonderful young Beatlemaniac, and you've been one of the greatest surprises I've had since I got into this site.
Don't go away. And if you feel hurt by someone, just "close your eyes" (or your ears, whatever http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif).
We all stand together.

And I KNOW that last post had nothing to do with bootlegs or anything (I know someone will want to protest), I just wanted to say what I thought to Lucy and Litl Lennon, because I don't think we have to waste our time arguing when we can talk about the best band in the world.
Let's get back to them. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif
