The "almost" was somebody telling me to try getting a new driver.
So anyways, Windows updated again, and my display adapter did not like that. So it went blank-screen. So I tried uninstalling it, and it would load up, but as soon as Windows detected the hardware, this funky pattern would come up on the screen and I'd have to reboot again. So I managed to disable the adapter and use the horrible default VGA adapter.
So then I'm told to go find a new driver, so I tried that, yup it works. So there you go.
