They look great, but do they just play on the computer, I mean, are they just MP3 format?

I went here: http://www.abbeyrd.f2s.com/cdrz.html
and that looks brilliant - all the known studio outtakes (that alone makes me want to climb the top of a tree and shout "I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD MAMA") but, I think you can only play it on the computer. That sucks.

I see what it's all about now.
They're not proper factory-made bootlegs, but CDR's. Some of them are CDROM's.
I see.

It looks like they sell CDRs and CDROMs. The CDRs are just burned copies of the bootlegs, like the one I sent you. You can play those anywhere. The CDROMs are huge and full of a lot of stuff, and they can only be played on a computer. But I'm assuming they're MP3s, which means you can then burn any of those songs onto CDRs. Got it?
In any case, I wouldn't count on that site being around too long. Sooner or later, they'll be forced to shut down. I mean, how blatantly obvious can you be about selling bootlegs?

Hahaha!!!
You're right, they'll be caught soon, but, I think they'll just move on and start again. A bit like gypsies. I 'ate bleedin' pikies.
That deal with the link I posted above, looks really good, don't you think?
Take a look, will ya? All for $125.
And you say I'd be able to burn those onto normal CD's? Cool, I might think about buying that deal then.....if you think it's worth a go?
Like you say, they'll be gone soon, arrested or deported, or something.........or summoned to Michael Jackson! Bloody hell!!!!!!

For $125, if those CDs have everything on them that they say they have, it's a total steal. You'll just have to buy a ton of CDRs and start burning. I'm assuming they're MP3s. You'll probably have to convert them into WAVs to burn them, but I'm not sure. Either way, I'm sure you'll be able to make your own CDs. Your collection would suddenly rival any good bootleger out there. Hey, you could even start running a monthly CD contest on your site....imagine if you were burning me a bootleg - talk about a role reversal.

Cheeky bugger.
Right, I'll see what this bloke says about the postage and that, and then I'll think about buying that set. Then I'll buy a CD burner for myself, and 500 CD's, and then I'll think about writing to Birmingham University to explain why I can't pay my tuition fees this year! I'm sure they'll be understanding!!!!!! We all have needs http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/wink.gif

LenMac, remember in Help! when the Scotland Yard director says he a bit of a mimic and impersonates Ringo's voice. George says, "Not a bit like Cagney." (James Cagney said "I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD MA".)

How trustable would you say that site actually is? It was made on geocities, and there is no sort of guarentee that you will really recieve the boot. If I were you guys, I wouldn't trust it.

lennon-mccartney
Sep 17, 2000, 08:44 AM
Well, I e-mailed them, but got nothing back. And so, you're right, I don't think I would trust them. And therefore, my endless search for bootlegs continues. The only chance I have of ever getting my hands on some bootlegs, is to marry Jerry.

Oh my god. No, that isn't a good plan. I know - you could marry Marz. Then she could burn some of my CDs and mail them to you.

A. Jerry, if I marry len-mc then I wouldn't be mailing him anything.... he'd be "Living in America!"

2. What is this incessant need to bring me into the most random of comversations?

And D. How come you don't let me burn any of your bootlegs now? Only for Len-Mc huh? I do believe there's something going on there!
