Well, I've got the CD of the entire show. It's pretty good. The movie Let It Be gives a good idea of what happened, but the CD of the whole show is much better. They played Get Back 3 times! There are also a few more bootlegs of the show, but they're the audio from each camera. So with those, you're getting the street interviews and other stuff. I'm sure I'll pick those up eventually. But for now, I'm happy with the full audio of the music. By the way, here's a link to the bootleg of the show. It's also got a few Get Back session outtakes.

I'd love to win the contest. I know most of the answers to the questions given, but because I live in an entirely different continent (Europe) the question is usually answered before I get a chance to even see it.

There's always next month. Don't give up so easily. I ask the questions any time I can think of one. Sometimes (actually, more than sometimes) it's the middle of the night over here.

Perhaps I could send an audio tape over to you for a cross-recording Jerry?

That would be cool. You could also send a blank CDR. Even better - how many bootlegs would you want in exchange for that mono White Album of yours?http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/cool.gif

It'll have to be a LOT of bootleg CDs. I've just found out that the MONO white album is worth £175 approx. That's about $380-420!

Bootlegs galore on ebay. Honestly, I'm not advertising. I find some cool books there. The Beatlegs can get pricey but they are plentiful.

Well, I finally went to another swap meet today. I couldn't help myself. So I bought the 2 CD set of the entire rooftop show. I'm not really sure what else is on it besides the actual show, but it completed my Yellow Dog collection. They are hands down the best bootleg "company." I also finally picked up the Twickenham Sessions 8 CD set. So now I've got about 10,000 hours from the Get Back sessions. Actually, it's probably somewhere around 30-35 hours.

Years. I don't see a lot of the earlier CDs anymore. I guess they're now collector's items for bootleg maniacs. There might be a few Yellow Dog released I don't have. Actually, I know of at least one. There's a 2 CD set of some Australian shows, but I think I already have it, so I haven't picked up the YD version yet. They could have made it a single CD, but they had to put other crap on there to stretch it out - like the opening act. Who cares about Sounds Incorporated? There's a reason why nobody's heard of them, you know. I also hate re-released stuff. They always say "better sound quality than ever before" and other ridiculous claims. You have to be careful when you buy this stuff, because sometimes you get home and realize you've already got what you just bought! Even Yellow Dog has re-packaged something they just released a few months before. But there's a sucker born every minute...

Jerry, two thumbs up for the rooftop CD. I listened to it yesterday and was really amazed with it. Since you have another CD from then; that's the one I'll try to win next month. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/cool.gif

Glad you liked it. I wouldn't bother with the other CD from the rooftop show. It's basically overkill. It's just the audio from the other cameras. You hear the show muffled off in the distance while the camera guy interviews people on the street and in the Apple offices. I would definitely go for some studio outtakes. Nothing beats them.

Col, they're all good! Think of your favorite songs or album, and it's a good bet that you can find either demos or complete studio outtakes somewhere out there. The Anthology releases only skimmed the surface. And to be honest, a LOT of it had been out there for years and years. Now, if you could only figure out who that fifth child of Mike McCartney was...http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/tongue.gifhttp://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/tongue.gifhttp://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/tongue.gif

Let It Be is my favorite Beatle song; which is another reason I choose the Rooftop bootleg. I really like it when it sounds like an Indian chant.
Other outtakes would be great!
