I was at Beatles Beatles Beatles the other week and I heard "Goodbye" sung by Paul - the song he did for Mary Hopkin! I was amazed, truly. I must have played it about 71 and a half times. Couldn't find the right key for it on guitar though? Does anybody (apart from Paul, George, Ringo etc.) know if there are any recordings of The Beatles performing World Without Love? Don't get me wrong, I like Petula and Gordon's version, it's just that they're a bit posh and that. "Please lark me awayeee, and dooont forgeT the dayeee" Yer know?
Cheers.

I don't know my keys very well, but I figured out how to play "Goodbye" once. I had to adjust the speed of my CD player to play along. Without a guitar in my hand, I think the verses are C, Em, Am, F, Dm, G, C, G. The finger work is pretty cool. I think it's much more complicated than Blackbird or Mother Nature's Son. The chorus is different, but I can't remember right now. And I've never heard any kind of Beatles version of "World Without Love."

I heard that the only known copy of World Without Love copy is a demo by Paul and Peter Asher of Peter & Gordon who recorded the song has it in fact he had suggested it to the Beatles for the Anthology C.D. but they turned it down ????????????????

Well, can not understand that, because there are dozens and more. From solo to Beatles.
Looking for anything special? I may be able to help. Just let me know. If you are a member you can scroll in someones files, well feel free to look in mine (FPSHOT is my member name) , I haven't got all my bootleg downloads in there, but can always do that for you. There are some other members from here who also have a good list and wouldn't mind.
A start may be http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/wink1.gif to type in - Beatles Bootlegs - which already shows various.
Other search tips are
- type name of song
- type name of bootleg album
There is lots from the White Album sessions (look for the song name of bootleg name), from Complete Lost Lennon Tapes, from George, Paul, Ringo.
Feel free to ask, I can help you round to fantastic material.

Thanks a lot, FP and Darky. http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/images/icons/smile.gif I do happen to already have a couple really good bootlegs but I'm bored of them now (not that I've listened to them 2948574985742 times or anything...)
I'll let you know when I go on another Beatle bootleg download binge. And FP, I'll look up your files!

Yes he tried to start me also. I got a few from Napster but I have terrible trouble getting a successful download now. Takes hours http://www.beatlelinks.net/ubb/smilies/crosseyed3.gif and just towards the end the whole thing will collapse in a heap. I give up.
