Beatles Club at my school is planning on holding a charity concert in April, and we're going to be donating the money to the SPIRIT Foundation and Coalition Against Gun Violence. We hired a tribute band to play at the event, and we've been fundraising to pay for it all year.... And we still need to get $500 more dollars in the next two months! What do you think our club can do to make this concert a reality? That's a lot of money... and I'm out of ideas :(

How many people are in the Beatles club? If there's a lot of you (like, a hundred+) then splitting the cost might be an idea. 100 people all chipping in $5...

I wish there was a Beatles club at my school! But anyways, I don't know what you've tried already, but there're things like bake sales, candy sales, some sort of valentines flower or candy sale (you could attach Beatles-lyrics to them if you'd like)...I'm not very good at coming up with ideas, sorry...If necessary, you could always try asking a local business to help sponsor the charity concert.

I wish it were that easy. But there's only six of us :(

Wow, when I read that first line, it made me wish my school had a Beatles club!

That's tough. I mean, aside from the classic bake sales/car washes, I'm not sure what there is left.

And if I went to your school, there would be seven! :teeth1:

You should definately try having a BBQ in front of your local and nearest Wal-Mart. I may not be in a Beatles club, but I am in a club that is actually going to go to England, and we have had a few fundraisers like these which have been a huge success!

You could sell hamburgers and hotdogs with drinks and chips. First, ask for the manager and tell them what you are fundraising for. If they allow you to fundraise, ask if they do matches. If they do, you are golden because matches basically doubles the money you make. Even if you make around $200, you'll still get $400 back, so that just leaves $100 to worry about. It might be different, depending on the location, but it is Wal-mart so I don't see why it would be. You might want to ask about the process of receiving it too...

You could try to get parents to help purchase the materials needed like the drinks and meat and what not.

And, make sure it is on a Saturday, around noon time because there are definately hungry people there!

Good luck! :wave1:
